The Paradise Hotel and Agoda travel site ruined my vacation! Agoda left the refund decision to a mismanaged hotel

Upon arrival at the DJ Paradise hotel I found the exterior and grounds filthy, unkept and in disrepair.There were rows of old metal chairs stacked with other rusted metal and wood clutter at the hotel entrance. The front desk could not locate two hotel managers and I refused to check in! The hotel fronted a four lane busy street with graffiti. Both managers could not be located.

Overpriced and Horrible place to stay

Despite its name, Paradise Resort is far from being a Paradise. If I could rate it lower than 1 star I would. I used to be from the military and I would rather sleep in my bunk than in here.
First of all, the place was horrible. The rooms were very old, dirty and dusty. The aircon was not working well and our room did not even have a remote to control the temperature.
Then entire area was very badly maintained and seemingly employs staff that doesn’t give a damn about what is going on within the compound. The only one that actually did his job properly was the security guard.
Taking a shower is almost impossible as the water takes ages to heat up and once it’s heated up there will probably be only a few droplets of water for you to shower from. On a few occasions, there was no water at all. It’s ridiculous.
There was no WiFi in the hotel as it was down ages before I came and even god doesn’t know when it’s going to be back up.
Furthermore, the price of the hotel was not exactly cheap and you could definitely find much better quality ones at that price point. It was certainly not value for money.
I would never ever return here again, this place is literal trash and is even worse than some of the hotel I’ve seen on Gordon Ramsay’s “Hotel Hell”.

The resort is ok, hotel not

The resort is good for families. And the poolside cottages are gated, yes most of the cottages come with a gate, you just need to bring a lock. On peak season (summer), parking is hard to find. Staff is helpful, though you cannot see life guards watching the deeper pools. The wave pool is fund.

Too expensive but not worth it

Just had a night in this resort because it was so hard to look for a nice hotel in Bulacan. All are resorts or a lodge. Thought this resort is ok since it was known to be a good and big one, not to mention that one night will cost you 3000 for an old room without any amenities except small fridge without anything inside. No complimentary water bottle but a free simple breakfast located at the other side of the building (if you are too lazy to walk under the sun to get your breakfast, use your car.)
