HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
We stayed here twice already, the room is clean and neat. And also a budget friendly hotel. We also recommended this to our friends and their Barkada Room is very spacious. Staff is very friendly and approachable. You can also rent a motorcycle here. We highly recommend this hotel, Adelaida Pensionne Hotel. We’ll stay here again soon.

Great Budget Hotel on Bantayan Island
SNAPSHOT: We highly recommend this hotel for a short term stay. No frills budget hotel representing excellent value. Reception staff are super friendly and helpful. Great location.
PROS: Most things you will need during your stay on Bantayan Island are within walking distance or a short tricycle ride from the hotel. Sugar Beach is only a 5-10 minute walk direct from the hotel. Be aware that rooms are only small, but comfortable and clean. Room wifi and AC were both very good. On demand hot water system in the bathroom was fine for us. Communal kitchen on ground floor with fridge storage should you need to avail. Filtered water dispenser adjacent to reception area. Extra pillows available from reception for a small fee.
CONS: Our second floor room had a large balcony, but disappointingly there were no chairs to sit on out there. Cable tv, but only one channel because subscription not maintained.
FYI: No safety deposit box, mini-fridge or in-room kitchen facilities. Small, but adequate wardrobe to store items. Small table also provided in the room. Double bed only in our room type. Land tours by tricycle are available - be advised by reception staff.
TIP: Bantayan Island takes the full brunt of a very hot sun in the mornings and afternoons so pack plenty of sunscreen and stick to shaded areas if you are heat sensitive.

Budget hotel that just needs a bit of care and maintenance to make a stay better.
The hotel is on the edge of town but is just 2 minutes from great restaurants. I know it is a budget hotel but the shower had pathetic water flow and most days didn’t heat the water or stopped 1/2 way through showers. Plus had to ask most days for shampoo and body wash sachets the latter ran out on day 3 so had to use a soap bar for body. However the staff are really friendly and willing to help you with advice about your holiday.

BEWARE OF THE STAFF
Aircon is broken, the staffs were rude. Same experience with the other guest. They will not treat you as a guest after you have checked out. The staff was trying to scam us by giving us a higher rate than what we discussed thru online. STAFF WERE SCAMMERS.

Broken Air-con. Rude Staff. Bad Service
We had a terrible experience in the quadruple room we reserved. On the moment we arrived, we noticed the aircon was not cooling our room the way it was supposed to. We gave it around 15 mins to observe whether something was wrong. Afterward, I went to the front desk to attend our need. The receptionist said that the aircon was fine and requested us to wait for another 20 mins. So, we did but there was no sign of improvement. The aircon showed it was 17-degree Celcius yet it feels like 29 degrees inside. The four of us in the room were sweating as if we are in a sauna bath.
Like the room temperature, I was steamy hot as I approached the front desk rage. This time a male personnel was present. I don't know and I don't care what was his position but he was really rude. When I told him our concern, he told us (in Cebuano) "There is nothing we can do about it Sir."
"Don't you have a repairman here to see this?", I replied.
"No. Our technician is in Cebu City and it will take him at least 2 days to be back here. Don't worry Sir. That aircon is functioning well, I guarantee. Otherwise, we can lend you an electric fan. That's the least we can offer.".
I walked out, sulking in rage. I can't believe they keep on insisting their air conditioner was working fine when already gave it ample time to expose ourselves in sheer inconvenience. On our first night, the receptionist lend us a stand fan to mitigate the heat, but lo and behold! The electric fan they let us borrow was not functioning at all. It would only turn a second or two before the power was dead. Later, I've found out that their stand fans were rechargeable and they lend us the fan with an empty battery. Can you imagine that? If only we were not a bit tipsy from a stag party, I don't know how could sleep that night.
On our second night, we relied on a small electric fan (nonrechargeable) for our ventilation. Unfortunately, there was power outage when we were about to sleep. Arrgh! I don't know what to say anymore. There had been a series of misfortune.
If anyone would like to stay here, good luck. Our room number was 205. Avoid it at all cost. Unfortunately for us, the hotel was full so they could not transfer us to another room with the same services.
