Rainy days at The Bayleaf Intramuros
Ideal location to experience manila very near all tourist destinations both visual and gastronomic. The atmosphere is very calming. We occupied several rooms, the cheaper one without a window is good for those that will just sleep. The lighting is not enough thou. The other rooms with windows have a good view but we occupied rooms looking over a school. Rooms are very clean. I am not sure about the noise as there were no classes when we stayed. Marlon and Kristine were very professional and helped us out through our short 2 day stay.

The BEST Place to stay in Manila
This is now our only place to stay in Manila. The Bayleaf experience has been something that has changed how I feel about going to Manila. The Bayleaf is located in the most historic part of Manila. To look out our window and see the old fort and horse drawn carriages was very relaxing. We were greeted by Marion and Shane who took care of all our needs. They checked us in and secured our transportation with Grab. These drivers do not try and scam you the way the yellow cabs do. Now we arrived tired with a newborn and needed something to eat. Room service was off the hook and some of the best food I have had in Manila. The service was above and beyond any other place we have stayed in Manila. We will be back to the Bayleaf on our next trip to Manila. I don't write reviews often but after staying at the Bayleaf this place and the staff deserve all the acalades I can give them.

Over rated. No tv, bad food . do not stay here unless you get a huge discount
no tv channels,no youtube,netflix or anything.fragrance in halls is overwhelming and terrible. they only give you 1 small round soap. food is overpriced and typical bad like most of this country. toilet seat is broken ...this is a 2.5 star at best. should be 2500 pesos I am here right now and wish i wasn't

As for the fragrance in our hallways, we understand that preferences for scents can vary from guest to guest. While this is the first time we have received negative feedback regarding the fragrance, we appreciate you bringing it to our attention and will certainly take your comments into consideration.
With regard to the soap and other room amenities, these are available upon request, and our team would have been more than happy to provide additional items should you have approached us. We always encourage our guests to let us know of any concerns during their stay so that we are given the opportunity to address and resolve them promptly.
We are particularly concerned to learn about the reported broken toilet seat. This is something that should have been brought to our attention immediately, and we would have arranged for our Engineering team to inspect and rectify the issue.
We also regret that our food offerings did not meet your expectations. We take our guests' dining experience seriously and will share your comments with our Food & Beverage team for review.
We value guest feedback because it gives us an opportunity to improve, and we sincerely hope that future guests will feel comfortable approaching our team directly so we can assist and resolve concerns promptly rather than having them remain unresolved throughout the stay.

Review
The location is the best since we attended a wedding in the nearby Cathedral with the reception at the hotel. However, yes, the rooms are clean but quite outdated. Upon entering, it smell like an old abandoned room which I think can be improved. Ialso understand that you are trying to reduce waste but I think bedroom slippers should be a part of the room accommodation and additional requests for bedroom slippers should be charged instead. However, we walked in to the room with no provision of bedroom slippers and upon request, we were informed that it has a fee of 35 pesos per pair by the housekeeping. I am not sure if that is the normal case but I think it should be part of the stay. It would also be better if additional tissue for the room aside from the one in the bathroom should be provided for hygiene purposes. The aircon vent also needs cleaning in the room where we stayed because it is not visually pleasing. And the windows as well to at least enjoy the view.
As for the breakfast, please provide additional options. We had breakfast and I think from the selection, at least 3 or 4 are eggs but just different ways of cooking. And some of the other dishes doesn’t look warm and fresh.
Check in and check outs are smooth. Comfort rooms are clean.
