BE WARY!!! (SCAM)

I would tread with caution when it comes to booking any sort of room with these people. They leaked my information (full name along with all my reservation details), and I received a threatening phishing WhatsApp asking me to log into a dodgy website link or else my booking would be cancelled. Thankfully I knew better than to click on any links, but others could have gotten even more data/money stolen away. It’s also extremely dangerous and baffling that an establishment that handles such sensitive information could just give away your data like this. Be careful!

The hostel was absolutely lovely, and especially the staf made it a great stay! The hostel is placed a 10 minute ride away from the city, but as the other guests, and especially JJ one of the entertainers, were great fun it didn’t matter. Many of the bartenders like Pedro and Keran were also great fun! Felt very safe the entire stat and the rooms were cleaned regularly which was good.

I didnt like the noise from generator near family room.
And loud music during the day, too much. The Food was good. The Beach was not for swimming, you need to go to Alona. But Alona is more noisy.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. The design chosen for our Panglao property features a nipa hut, which is inspired by traditional local roofing designs and aims to capture the authentic vibe of provincial homes here in the Philippines. On the downside, noise insulation is affected. To help mitigate any discomfort, we provide earplugs to our guests. Additionally, we do go to great lengths in our online marketing, videos, and room descriptions to make it clear that we are a party hostel. For this reason, we will tend to be a little noisier; midnight marks the beginning of the quiet hours. Thank you, and safe travels!

Affordable, fun, and lively! Mad Monkey Hostel exceeded expectations. Enjoyed the foam party and welcome drink. Only drawback: 1km from Alona Beach. Recommended for budget-conscious travelers seeking a social vibe! 4/5 stars)
