WYD 2016 - One of the 75 Pilgrims

My opinion about this hotel is the best. It was the hotel chosen by the leaders of our group of 75 Portuguese pilgrims to World Days Youth in 2016, and in good time was chosen, I say this because I had an injury in my right knee, on the day we arrived, being unable to walk, having been the hotel in a wheelchair, the 5 days that remain in Poland. During these five days I was treated very well by the hotel staff and having Aneta, the hotel manager, the concern that I was as comfortable as possible, and all very friendly. On the day of my departure to Portugal, I forgot my phone in the bathroom, giving already for lack of it at the airport, the taxi driver did please call the hotel and they agreed to send me the phone by mail to my address in Portugal, what happened. For all this, and the excellent service I had, my thanks to the hotel manager Aneta, and all staff, THANK YOU ALL. Not forgetting the good rooms and good food. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Auschwitz, Krakow, Wadovice, Katowice and the west of Poland. If I ever return to this region of Poland, I will choose this hotel to stay.

Visit to Auschwitz

I booked the Ahotel because according to the website it should be 12.5 kms from Auschwitz but in reality its about 25 to 26 kms away.
We arrived at 2.45 am since we drove down from the Netherlands.
I had book a room with a double bed and when we arrived, the girl at the desk was very friendly and checked us in, gave us the key and told us where our room was situated. We took our bags upstairs and when I opened the room at first I thought that we were in someone else's room as the bed was crumpled and unmade and the room dirty!
Went downstairs again to let her know but at first she refused to believe me and kept insisting that I was wrong! I got pretty pissed then as I was tired and it was by now 3am.
Finally she gave us another room with two single beds but facing the highway which was incredibly noisy!
Next day the manager apologised and we were given another room which thankfully faced the fields so not to noisy!
There are no bins in the room or bathroom, no ac's in the rooms and no refrigerators either! Very poor wifi connections!
But the manager who runs the hotel and has morning shifts behind reception is one of the sweetest nicest person that I have met.
She was very helpful and gave us good suggestions!
The beds were ok and they were certainly clean!
So I would go back again but with the knowledge that its an average hotel with great staff and clean rooms. The restaurant was clean, cheap and a decent breakfast!!

Excelent hosting. Very kind, specially the manager

I have stayed 5 days with a group of 75 persons and we have been treated with all attentions. The manager is an excelent person, very kind and allways available to help us. The staff is also very kind. We have needed to dinner some times very late (23:00) and they served us always with a smile. I think that we have done friends there, specially Aneta, the manager. I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to visit Auschwitz, Cracóvia, Wadovice, Katovice and southwest of Poland.
