Spacious accommodation in the heart of Gorlitz

This is a lovely, spacious house with apartments in each floor. Very nice people as hosts. Free parking and wi-go. Right in the heart of beautiful Gorlitz.
Unfortunately, the bells ring periodically all night, so even though the house is very quiet, you find yourself waiting gift the next bell.

Excellent Stay!!

We recently had a delightful stay at Ferienappartements Locke in Gorlitz, Germany. Vera was very kind to take us at the last minute, as we had a change of plans, so had not reserved ahead of our arrival to Gorlitz. She allowed us to choose from the available rooms and we selected the beautifully renovated ground floor suite which was huge - large bedroom with queen bed and sofa, table and chairs; enormous bathroom, complete with marble everywhere, including two sinks, complimentary toiletries, large mirrors, large bathtub and separate shower, washing machine, plus two large papasan chairs - luxurious! There was a separate alcove for making coffee, with necessary supplies provided. All for a moderate price!
Ferienappartements Locke is located on a very quiet street in the charming Old Town district of Gorlitz, 2 minutes walk from beautiful landmarks, excellent cafes and restaurants, 1 minute from one of the best bakeries we visited in Germany, and a leisurely ten minute walk to Poland, over the famous bridge! Robert and Vera will graciously advise you on anything you need to know for your stay and offer optional breakfasts for a small fee, as well as being such very interesting and kindly hosts! (I will always remember Vera's special ginger tea!)
Thank you, Vera and Robert, for the wonderful conversations and care! We think of you often with great fondness and would never consider staying anywhere else in Gorlitz!

One of the best deals in Germany!

We stayed in the 2nd floor apartment while on a girls' Polish Pottery shopping trip, and we were amazed by the spaciousness of the rooms! The apartment was stylish, SUPER clean well appointed & comfortable... and very affordable! What value for money!! The owners could not have been more helpful... Swavek even helped us load our car up before we left! Breakfast was continental & served in our private dining room at the time we specified. There was secured parking available, which was a pleasant surprise. The location was great... the town of Gorlitz is quaint, and I wish I had more time to explore. Only a 30 minute drive from Boleslawiec, Poland, this is the perfect stopping point. I will definitely stay at these apartments next time I visit!

Meeeen sikke de er flotte, der er alt hvad man kan ønske, 2 store værelser, flot stort badeværelse, dejligt køkken og spise plads
Samtidig ligger den 200 meter fra Polen hvor der er skønne restauranter

Mimo pewnych ułomności, dobre miejsce na nocleg w Gorlitz

Najpierw plusy:
Dobra lokalizacja - kilka minut pieszo od głównych atrakcji Gorlitz.
Bezpłatny parking. Przestronny apartament (na drugim piętrze), dwie sypialnie, aneks kuchenny i przedpokój w jednym. Ładnie urządzona łazienka. Cicha okolica (aczkolwiek słychać zegar kościelny wybijający kolejne kwadranse - przez całą noc). Właścicielka mówi po polsku. Dobra cena. Właścicielka była na miejscu o umówionej godzinie.
A teraz minusy:
Niezbyt miła właścicielka - niby wszystko w porządku, była na miejscu o umówionej godzinie, pokazała co, gdzie i jak, ale nic poza tym. Może to wrażenie wynika z kontrastu - wracaliśmy z pensjonatu w Alpach, gdzie właścicielka była bardzo pomocna i miła.
Oprócz łazienki, wystrój mieszkania niespójny, rzeczy niepasujące do siebie. Mieszkanie (na drugim piętrze) składa się chyba z dwóch niegdyś oddzielnych lokali oraz... części klatki schodowej. Z przedpokoju są drzwi (zamykane) bezpośrednio na schody w dół i drugie (również zamykane) na schody w górę, prowadzące do mieszkania właścicielki.
Winda towarowa, z której trudno skorzystać (nieoświetlona, zabroniony przewóz osób) W kuchni nie było sztućców. Ręczniki w łazience "z łapanki". Nieco skomplikowane otwieranie bramy (ale planują wymienić na automatyczną).
W sumie jednak można polecić ten apartament. Drobne wady nie wpływają zbyt mocno na ocenę.
