Terrible

Due to the restrictions related to COVID-19 (there are troubles in getting back to Italy from trips abroad) unfortunately we had not been able to go in Krakow. We had contacted the structure by phone and they made no effort to accomodate us, neither to move the dates nor to receive a "voucher" or a small discount for the time we'll return to Krakow, they also refused to reduce the price for cancellation. This period is difficult for everyone and they should try to help their customers as much as possible rather than don't care.

No apartment for us, but how about we scam you out of your money?

Don’t ever book here. It was the worst experience of our life as travelers.
We booked our apartment months in advance of our stay. It was all fully paid and we were ready to go. Then, upon arrival, we were welcomed by a young lady who let us know that the Appartement isn’t available for us and so are no others in the building.
We were very much disappointed, to say the least. Communication got a little tricky as the lady tried really hard, but her English wasn’t very fluent and we don’t speak Polish.
Anyway, she ordered us a taxi and took us to a man Alternative Appartement in a completely different part of the City. We tried to tell her that we are not willing to stay there as we wanted to stay close(r) to the city Center and old town (it wasn’t our first trip to Krakow, so we knew where we wanna go).
The apartment itself wasn’t bad, but not what we booked and the surrounding area didn’t meet our wishes as well. She would not give us a chance to opt out though and left us there with the keys.
On the same night, we left the apartment on our own, collected all our personal belongings and left the keys where we were told to. We informed our booking agency and also the landlord.
Said landlord wouldn’t like our decision too much. He denied any kind of solution, just let us know that we can’t get any other accommodation from him and we’re not getting our money back either. We stayed in contact with the agency a lot and they tried to help, while we found a better apartment ourselves.
Within the upcoming days, we repeatedly Heard- back from the landlord. He asked us for our full credit card information, including the security code, „in order to transfer the money back“. We told him that he sure doesn’t need our security code for that, which made him even more furious. I don’t want to spread a false word, but this seemed like a scam to us.
At the very end of the story, and after contacting the agency, our credit card company and even our lawyer multiple times more, he backed off and we got our money refunded, minus the first night, which is a joke in itself.
But let me not forget to tell you that this landlord, who dragged us around half Krakow against our will, who double rented out our booked accommodation and who made a huge fuss out of everything, this man came to us with the sheer audacity to tell the agency that we‘d get „our money back because we would just do as we please anyway, regardless of others like him“.
Don’t come here. Just don’t.
