Outstanding

Once you cross the border the hotel is about 5 minutes on foot and at least for me it felt like it's in the center.
For those who don't want to walk there is a bus stop only 20 meters from the hotel.
Staff speaks of course german and english.
The restaurant has great food for a very good price.
I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel and it was as big as a football.
With a drink i paid roughly 10 euros which feels like you didn't even pay anything.
The staff are all very nice and friendly and even an early check-in was possible.
Hotel is so clean you can eat from the floor i believe the girl cleaning is doing an excellent job.
Nice atmosphere and ambience all over the place, especially the restaurant.
Rooms are quiet and as clean as possible.
You can also open the windows which is not possible in all hotels.
Also there is an AC and a tv inside which has german and polish tv channels.
Props to the girl cleaning my room on monday.
Really a nice girl.
Superfriendly and helpful.
Hotel itself has many shops within walking distance and a lot of restaurants.
Restaurant Douane is my recommendation if you are looking for similar food just like in this hotel.
And all comes for a cheap price.
Besides that of course you can find many shops selling cigarettes and alcohol.
I had a really good time over there and staying in my room was quite nice as well since its very silent inside and the beds are so comfy.
Not to mention a kettle to prepare some tea for yourself.
If i ever come again to slubice id come to this hotel because its the best and closest to the border.

A very uncomfortable experience

this hotel must not be recommended at all. Maybe it was still reasonably good many years ago, nowadays it is no longer acceptable. The mattresses are old and sat through, so the bed overall is very uncomfortable. The worst thing, however, is that the heating is broken and running so loud that you can't sleep at night. From the toilet comes a very unpleasant smell.

Better look another place for stay

Hotel has some advantages. Very close location to bridge connecting Germany. 5 minutes walk. They have large parking for free for guests. Unfortunately room was stinky and we needed to ask service to open a window to get fresh air. At check in we were informed that we have breakfast included in the price but it wasn't. Staff should be much better informed to not embarrass the guests. Plates and glasses should be also washed more properly. I needed to get third plate to have it clean and on cup was clear traces of lipstick.

Good alternative

If you're breaking your trip at the border then this is a good choice of hotel. Don't be put off by the plethora of cheap tobacco shops all around - the hotel is situated in a pleasant building with its own car park. Germany (Franfurt Oder) is only a 5 minute walk across the river. The rooms are well equipped and very quiet. Good to have a kettle although you'll need to provide your own tea/coffee. If you don't speak Polish or German then your TV choice will be problematic.
Staff were generally friendly and relatively attentive. Breakfast selection was good although it could have been a bit more imaginative with a more Polish touch. Very reasonable price.

From Frankfurt to Berlin by train in a hour.
Nice to stay for several days.
