HP Park Plaza Wrocław — when a hotel surprises you where you don't expect it

Three nights in Wrocław with the family, and the choice of HP Park Plaza turned out to be more apt than I thought when booking.
Let's start with the elephant in the room — in the literal sense: carpet. In an otherwise well-groomed double standard, it's the only element that betrays the general level a bit. The air in the room brings with it that slight heaviness typical of fabrics that accumulate dust over time, and for those who are sensitive it is something you feel. It has to be said, because it would be dishonest not to.
But everything else tells a different story.
The room has no windows in the classic sense of the word — it has a bay window. A huge view of the park that floods the room with natural light already in the morning, with that green vegetation in front that transforms the awakening into something unexpectedly pleasant. This is no small detail: the quality of light in a room changes everything, the mood, the rhythm of the day, the perception of space.
Breakfast deserves a separate talk. Abundant is an understatement — it’s one of those buffets where you spend twenty minutes just making the full rounds before deciding what to take. But the thing I really appreciated is the presence of typical Polish products, not the usual standardized international you find equal from Warsaw to Lisbon. Something local on the plate in the morning is worth more than any gadget in the room.
The location is another concrete asset: the center of Wrocław is easily accessible, and this for those traveling with children is not a marginal advantage — it is the difference between a fluid and a tiring day.
Speaking of children, the park in front of the hotel was the real surprise. Open space, green, with play area. For Edward it was paradise — and when the child is happy, the holiday works for everyone.
Will I come back? Yes, but I would explicitly ask for a room without carpet.

Great size room with view over the river. Excellent breakfast and great location. Would stay again if in town.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room and hotel areas were generally clean overall. The hotel was in an excellent location for exploring and sightseeing. The tram was also super easy to work out if planning to travel a bit further for different attractions. The tram stop is called Plac Bema and depending on where you wanted to go, would determine which stop (side of the road) you would use. Combining the internet with the screens on each stop was super easy. We really enjoyed our stay here, in Wroclaw and explored a lot in just three days.

Great hotel second stay there check in very good room with river view lovely clean comfy beds and pillows could do with couple more hangers in wardrobe nice bathroom great shower air con nice in warm weather it’s in a good location about 10 minutes to main square loved the big bridge which you walk over to reach main square would really recommend this hotel to anyone going to Wroclow also get uber to and from airport takes about 20 minutes and stops and picks up right outside the main entrance about £7/8 we paid rip off taxis outside airport a no no taxis stop at the middle section of road right outside terminal big sign saying uber and marked on the floor can’t miss it my only fault was outside the hotel is massive roadworks which aren’t great at getting round anyone with mobility issues would struggle but not the hotels fault however I feel hotels .com who we booked with should let people know about it but overall a great hotel in good spot

Great location with a beautiful view of city and the lake. Good amenities, value for price, very well maintained.
