Authentic hotel inn with incredible charm

Family hotel, authentic, a real pleasure.
I thought I was staying with long-time friends.
A welcome at the top. We had our return flight at 10 a.m., the staff bent over backwards so that we had our breakfast at 7 a.m.,
The environment, everything is magnificent. Feeling like you're in a fairy tale.
The park, owned by the hotel, just opposite is a total change of scenery.
We loved it. We were a family with our children aged 17 and 19. They also loved it... Especially the portraits in the hallway... As an optical illusion, excellent. In addition, Smart TVs with Netflix and Prime video
Meals are a treat for the taste buds
Establishment to do absolutely

One night stay

Good value for money. Two rooms and breakfast for 4 people cost ~ 120 eur.
Responsible staff and good breakfast.
One might want a slightly wider room
If the windows of the room are facing the street, the noise of the bus stop should be taken into consideration.

Excellent Food and service

We had a wedding reception at the restaurant/hotel for around 40 guests.
Food and service was really good.
Its a shame they had not made more of an effort in decorating the main dining area to suit a wedding party but overall everyone enjoyed it.
we also needed a room for our baby and baby sitter for the duration of the party which was only till 10pm so for about 5 hours they wanted the same full rate as if with someone staying there for the night.
I could understand if they were very busy but they were not and you would expect that for such a large party to let us have a room at least at half price would have been a gesture of good will.
But anyway, all went well and i can recommend the place for parties and weddings.
But i would suggest on negotiating on all aspects of the party held including the decorations.

Holy Delicious!

Tartare was out of this world... the wild boar with potatoe pancakes were second to none. Great beer. Old world charm .... looks just like the tavern that Gaston drinks at in Beauty and the Beast.... my hands down favorite meal this trip.

Needed a hotel near the airport with early departure

My husband and I, along with two good friends, travelled via Wroclaw on 23/09/16 for a close friend, but more like family, wedding in Jelenia Gora. Our return flight from Wroclaw to Luton had an 06.10 departure time and as Karpniki Castle, where the wedding was held, was just over 110km / 1.5 hours away, we opted to get a 'cheap and cheerful' place to stay. Found the Karczma Rzym hotel that said it was ten minutes away from Wroclaw Airport - at 03.50 on 26/09/16, it took just six minutes door to door. We were a little discouraged at first as we approached from route 5. Our mobiles must have been playing up we thought, as we drove over five miles or more of roads under construction. We glimpsed the terminal building to our right as we approached the hotel.
Rather put off by check in and reception which are both dealt with over the bar of the Inn. Our arrival seemed to have coincided with a local bike event. It turned out that the man at the bar, ignoring us but taking food and drink orders from people in the Inn, at a place to eat across the road and two christenings at the Inn was the only person who knew how to check us in. He had to explain the registration form to us as it was only in Polish. We thought for half a heartbeat that they might want to hold onto our passports as they used to do years ago, in a bygone age; but thankfully not. The now very polite and attentive gentlemen explained that he spoke better German than he did English, but he was more competent in English than he gave himself credit for. He then led the way past some Victorian style photographs that changed from standard pictures to those of skeletons and vampires as you moved position; the bar was decked out with hundreds of guns, swords and bayonets. As we started to head to the rooms, he produced the largest and possibly the heaviest, room key and fob that I have ever seen!! It must have been over 30cm of brass weighing in at a kg or two!!!! You certainly wouldn't want to leave your key in your bag by mistake lol. We were asked what time we would like to have breakfast for and he did since considerably when I said 03.30. Our rooms were functional. Quite uniquely decorated as the hotel description had said (which I read after I'd reserved the rooms lol. The rooms were clean. The bedding was spotless. Compact rooms. We managed to grab a couple of hours sleep before our flight, after a meal in Wroclaw centre and a good two hour stroll to walk off the meal. When we went down to breakfast in the morning we had not expected there to be anyone up at that time, but there was a bright and cheerful lady bustling around offering freshly cooked scrambled eggs to accompany platters of fresh meat, cheese, boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, hot drinks......the lady, who hardly spoke a word of English, but you left after breakfast feeling that she was your new best friend, fussed over us, taking away dirty crockery before it was able to clutter the table. Fantastic stay in the end! Want to return to Wroclaw again soon as we hardly scratched the surface of this lovely city. Will stay more City Centre when we visit again if we don't have a car; but if we have a car and we have to be up at silly o'clock to get the Wizzair flight back to Luton again, then would deffo consider staying at the Karczma Rzym again!!
