Hotel Zamojski Zamosc is La Perla of the Hospitality in Poland

One of the best hotels in Poland. Excellent location and rooms quality. I had my friend English Teacher from Krasnik to deliver to Cemetery my flowers to my Bajan Family near Zamosc. Reception staff at Zamojski Hotel was exceptional professional. Dish I do recommend is wild deer steak. I am in Washington DC USA. My next trip to Poland I will stay at Zamojski Hotel centel Old Town. Lech Alex Bajan von Krasnik. Principal of RAQport USA.

Excellent location, but everyting else mediocre at best

To call this a "Four Star Hotel" is a bad joke.
Granted, location is phenomenal. But this is it.
For starters, hotel does not have A/C. From two receptionist we've got two different answers: "the system is down" and "this is a historic building and we were not allowed to install A/C"
Shabby workmanship - if there were any repairs done, it looks like they were done by Robinson Crusoe in the hurry (no disrespect to Mr. Crusoe intended). Paint over door frames, missing pieces of baseboard.
And dirt! They should understand that housekeeping is more that fresh linens. Carpet in our room looked like it wasn't vacuumed for weeks (monthe in the corners). Dirty desk (under tv stand).
Stay somewhwere else.

Big disappointment - fortunately only one night

We consider our stay at Hotel Zamojski to be a great disappointment. The hotel pretends to be a 4-star, exclusive hotel, but in reality it is comparable only to a youth hostel or a workers' hotel from the past. The facility was renovated a few years ago. Unfortunately, these works were limited only to the facade and lobby. So seemingly it looks very good. However, appearances can be deceiving - the true condition of the hotel can be seen already when taking the elevator. There is an old, yellowed and dilapidated device in it, the control panel of which was so damaged that the internal electronics were visible. It was probably once some kind of air conditioner (it was stuffy and hot in the elevator). The glass roof covering the former courtyard of the tenement house, where the lobby was located, was also visible from the elevator window. However, the roof was very dirty and full of pigeon droppings. It was obvious that no one had probably cleaned it since it was built. The winding and narrow corridors also did not make a good impression, they were dark (most of the lamps did not work) and the armchairs there were dusty. The biggest disappointment, however, was the room. It was a real time travel to the worst period of the 1980s. The dirty, stained carpet had holes in it in places, and the furniture certainly remembered the times of the Polish People's Republic. The bathroom however was the worst part of the entire room. The disgusting, cheapest crisis tiles on the walls and floor looked terrible, and the old shower cabin was so small that it was difficult to turn around in it, let alone wash yourself. The whole thing was topped with a completely yellowed toilet seat. The towels were clean, but so gray and faded that I suspect they come from the same period as the rest of the equipment. The only newer elements of the equipment were a rather clumsily installed air conditioner (also yellowed) and a not-new TV set. The hotel decided to solve the small number of electrical sockets by connecting strips or distribution blocks. There would be nothing extraordinary about it if it weren't for their condition. They were so worn (and dirty) that the plug could barely stay in them. For fear of shock, I was afraid to connect anything to them. I would just like to add that the room I am describing is a "Junior Apartment". So I don't even want to think about what a standard room looks like. Unfortunately, a good night's sleep in this hotel is difficult. The windows are so leaky that you can hear all the sounds from the street, including, unfortunately, loud groups of young people. These sounds continued basically throughout the night. In addition, sleep was made difficult by the light from the lanterns mounted on the wall of the hotel, at first floor level. The curtains were thin enough that you could almost see through them. So they did not provide any protection. For this reason, it is not necessary to turn on the lights in the rooms on the first floor - they are provided by lanterns. The cleanliness of the room itself also leaves a lot to be desired. Everything looks dirty (including the walls), some things are even sticky. The cleaning is very superficial and inaccurate. To emphasize the "quality" of the services provided by this hotel, I will quote a fragment of the note that I found on the cabinet next to the bed: "Cleaning is carried out only at the request of guests." I will leave this without comment. I will now move on to the topic of the hotel restaurant. This is probably the best aspect of this facility. The restaurant has a nice garden overlooking the Great Market Square, so the view is very good. When it comes to food, I can only rate the breakfast and I must admit that it is quite good. There may be no fireworks, but it's a completely normal breakfast that you would expect in a European 4-star hotel. As for the quality of the "non-breakfast" dishes, I must share my observation that the restaurant is empty or literally empty outside the breakfast time. I don't know why this is the case, because other restaurants located at the Great Market Square are under siege (especially in the evenings). As for other services at the hotel, there is apparently a SPA and a casino. However, considering the level of services provided, especially cleanliness, I would not recommend using the SPA. In terms of parking, it is worth mentioning that the "hotel parking lot" is basically 2 or 3 parallel parking spaces right next to the facade of the building. So you have to park in public parking spaces (paid on weekends). Fortunately, there are plenty of such places nearby. As for the advantages of the hotel, the only one that comes to my mind is the location. The hotel is actually located on the Great Market Square, right next to the Town Hall. To sum up, Hotel Zamojski definitely does not deserve 4 stars. I don't think even 3 stars would be adequate to describe it. Generally, the hotel advertises itself exaggeratedly, presents itself as a "Unique Place", and in fact the only aspect that distinguishes it from the Polish People's Republic workers' hotel or youth hostel is the completely inadequate price.
