Quite okay.

First of all, the original and tasteful decor stands out. The rooms are very simple, furnished only with the essentials, but we still felt comfortable. We had a room with a sunny and wind-protected balcony, and a drying rack was available. There is a large pool, unheated, but wonderful for swimming. Sometimes a frog also bathes here. The breakfast is okay, but the breakfast room fills up quickly, and the poorly arranged buffet gets crowded.
Unfortunately, the night was quite restless. The hall on the first floor is covered with wavy transparent material that clatters loudly in strong winds. We thought the roof would lift off.

Unfortunately, there were countless flying ants in our room.

The staff was very eager to remove the flying ants, but they were not successful. There were constantly more animals present, preventing us from relaxing. The manager was supposed to contact us to discuss the next steps or whether there would be any compensation or the like. But no one reached out to us. That is very unfortunate.

Luckily - rebooked.

I had booked the hotel but then canceled it again due to some recent bad reviews. We are now on-site in another very nice B&B, but we naturally took a look at the Utopia from the outside: Creepy and unkempt.

Mixed results

Small hotel in a housing estate in progress, eccentric of Aljezur. Many groups of walkers with the smells that go with it. Minimalist pseudo-ecological decoration, light breakfast.
Good bedding, large pool but not heated, tea and herbal teas at discretion. Outdoor parking.

Visiting friends

We are here now for the 2nd x. About 500 m from our friends' house. I read the reviews with surprise. The hotel is spacious. Spacious bedrooms. Balcony we also had. Well over the bathroom tiles is painted but looks fine. The water from the shower is from the same pipe as from the villa next door. We were there out of season but 44, - incl breakfast I do not find expensive for an overnight stay. Even a swimming pool is not missing. Coffee and tea unlimited. Especially for young people (Surfers) a Valhalla and affordable. We would go there again in no time. Staff what extremely friendly ✅
