A great hotel in a lovely town.
I had a wonderful 2 night stay here before meeting some friends in a beach hotel. I wish I had been able to stay longer. The service is wonderful and the spa is exceptional. It's a peaceful hotel within walking distance of the town and beach. The spa offers many services beyond the usual. I saw their resident Osteopath who diagnosed the reason for a long standing knee issue. he was amazing. I'm really hoping to return and would highly recommend this property. Thank you!

Lovely hotel with good eco credentials. Clean spacious quiet. Excellent healthy breakfast. Close to livelier parts of Alvor.

Good but not quite 5 star.
The service in restaurant was excellent. Food was good and elegantly served.
Rooms were clean with nice balconies.
Glass-wall bathrooms were strange.
Tea bags and kettle in rooms were appreciated.
A coffee machine (or just coffee bags) were not available and coffee only available on room service. This is not good. Also no milk for tea in rooms and we felt like we were slightly difficult guests in asking for these things.
Strange again.
The Spa. I had a wonderful reflexology treatment. First class.
However my daughter had a disappointing massage and facial. Deep tissue massage was fast and shallow. Facial was not as advertised and lasted 15 minutes. Therapist was not warm or receptive to feedback.
Spa was generally relaxing and pleasant. The steam room was a bit smelly and some of the spa facilities did not seem well maintained (salt room, reflexology pools). Otherwise it was ok, nice music.
Reception staff were generally lovely. The coffee / milk problem was just one incident.
Our favourite place was the restaurant. The two staff here were outstanding.
In general it felt more 4 star than 5 star but, with a little more attention to detail, it could improve.
Some complimentary touches such as fruit bowl in spa and reception; hot or cold towels on arrival;!welcome drink; healthy snacks in rooms; imaginative, healthy mini bar offerings; nuts or olives with cocktails…

These are 5 star touches.

The Inn that bears his name: wellness
First very clean. Then good location neither too close nor too far from the city center. Beautiful beaches (small coves and other large stretches). Top massages (tested relaxing, detoxifying and lymphatic drainage). Breakfast (included) with choice galore (including gluten-free). Finally icing on the cake: a very friendly, helpful and caring staff. Only one downside: the bathroom and toilet without privacy (transparent windows).

Great location with fantastic views
Very nice and helpful staff at reception and restaurant. A very nice, modern hotel to come down. Very quiet location. Well located within walking distance to the pretty old town of Alvor and the sea. The room was modern furnished in pleasant size with good bed. Wonderful view from the balcony. Very good and thorough room cleaning. Too bad the bathroom is separated only with glass and thus very ring-hearing and easily visible, albeit provided with roller blind. We just missed a coffee machine and a German and Italian TV channel. Breakfast was a bit different than we are used to, but very healthy and delicious. Since we had to leave early in the morning on the last day, we got a great filled lunchbox on the way. Rarely have we received such a delicious sandwich along with nuts and berries. Thank you for the nice stay
