Recommendation: yes!

Spectacular, welcoming, and comfortable place in a great location. Very peaceful, quiet, and full of character. I was warmly welcomed by Natália, who was always attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay.
The room was fantastic, spotlessly clean, and offered excellent facilities, including a top-quality bathroom. The overall value for money was excellent, and the tranquillity of the property made for a very relaxing stay. I also loved the breakfast, which was a wonderful way to start the day.
Many thanks to Solar da Flor da Rosa and to Natália for making my stay so enjoyable. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a charming, quiet, and authentic place to stay.

Stay 2 days with children

Very nice accommodation, super clean, spacious and practical rooms for those who have children. A good breakfast, very varied and full.
Excellent hosts, for sympathy, cordiality and professionalism.

Marvelous b&b, great helpful owners, nice breakfast etc..

In 2025 it will be our 5th visit to this family operated magnificent b&b in the center of Crato.. The perfect base for the (all ready sold out ) Waking Life festival.
Natália and her husband make sure your stay at their old historic but beautifully renovated b&b will tick all the boxes for you.
Nice spacious rooms with private bathroom, some wit a outdoor balcony overlooking the beautiful garden including a nice swimming pool.
Everyday a nice breakfast, to be eaten in or outside..
Looking very forward to our next stay, with the owners growing into family a little more with every new yearly visit..

Highly recommended

Absolutely perfect! The hosts are both so friendly and helpful, the room was fabulous as were the breakfasts. A lovely, tranquil place set in a gorgeous garden with a great swimming pool. Also Flor da Rosa is a small but very pretty traditional Portuguese village. A very relaxing stay & we will definitely stay there again.

Helping Turn Around This City and a Boon to Travelers

We stayed at a small-but-adorable property in small-but-adorable city of Flor de Rosa, Portugal. Our cycle group of 12 fit into several bedrooms on 3 floors of a renovated traditional stone building along the city's main street. The husband and wife owners have personally reconstructed the 400+ year old unit, updated it with new electric, plumbing, fireplace and conveniences suitable for contemporary lodging. A large, protected back yard features a swimming pool, trees, patio and feels like a private refuge in an otherwise unremarkable area. Like many cities in Portugal, this one has seen much population exodus to larger cities, but this particular inn has made a difference; other buildings along the main street are now being renovated, perhaps a new beginning for Flor de Rosa? Food, friendly charm, center-location and service all combine to make Solar a recommended stay in this area of Portugal.
