Casa do Papagaio Verde fantastic

Our first visit to Madeira.
We stay at Casa do Papagaio.
We are warmly welcomed by the owners and given the opportunity to have breakfast on arrival. What a lovely welcome.
What is Casa do Papagaio a wonderful and relaxing place to stay. From arrival to departure you feel at home. The owners and all staff are very nice and helpful. The garden is beautiful and the view from all rooms and apartments over the sea and the surroundings is magnificent. The studio is clean and tastefully decorated and equipped with all the necessities. An initial supply for tea, coffee is provided.
Breakfast with fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs, juices, homemade jams and cakes, etc. is a perfect start to the day. Especially with such a beautiful view. You can also dine there, if you wish. We did that the first day and it was great! Very special with this beautiful view.
We had many special conversations with the other guests at the same table over breakfast.
We had a very nice stay and love to come back here again.

Really enjoy...

Between the swaying palm trees you end up in a prime location that is somewhat outside the capital. You do need a car there, although taking a taxi is also possible.
We had a spacious room, not the best of 6, somewhat outdated yet with bathroom, private garden terrace with fantastic ocean views.
Very friendly service, nice breakfast and great swimming!
Definitely recommended!

Absolutely Amazing Honeymoon

What an absolutely fabulous honeymoon. The hosts of the accommodation are so friendly and cant do enough for you. We had the apartment which had amazing views over the sea and right next to the pool. We had fresh bread and jams delivered to our balcony every day. You need a car or be prepared for taxi prices to get anywhere but when you stay somewhere so beautiful you dont mind. Would definitely return and recommend.

Disappointing!

The ocean view is pleasant and the breakfast was quite nice but nothing else. The property is in the middle of nowhere with a very long walk to get to Funchal. The apartment we stayed in was basic, full of cheap furniture and the bathroom was very depressing. We decided to leave mid way through our stay and found a fantastic place in Funchal.

Amazing !

Amazing place... very nice staff. Quiet place full of beautiful flowers and trees.
The breakfast is served everyday on the terasse : pancake, fruit, homemade cake, eggs, bacon... so good.
I also really enjoyed the pool !! The view is amazing !! I totally recommend the room in the main building !
Thanks again to the whole team !
