Night in a Portuguese manor house

We have been on the way from Madrid to Porto and decided to make one stop over in the Portuguese Mountains because of our young daughter (6 month).
Casa do Brigadeiro was close to the highway and a real experience!
The complete hotel is a hommage to the good old times!
You really felt like in a former Portuguese manor house! One highlight definitely was the breakfast room with the pool billiard table.
The little village itself as a great inside in the Portuguese society „behind the tourism curtains“ - an piece of authentic Portugal rural life!
One advise: if you like it more quiet ask for one of the lovely room with garden view! The other side is facing to the street with may be a little louder.
A pitty that not more guests joined this experience.

A nice surprise

We got there without any expectations whatsoever, and we found ourselves in a beautifull 1900's house, very well decorated (old fashionably) and an extraordinary 'family' enviornement. The owner (Mr Fernando) is a very nice person, and puts the guests at ease in his house. The snooker table, ping pong, etc is available for no charge. The village itself is very rural, the surroundings are great for quiet relaxation. Excelent for a group of friends to rent the whole house for a weekend or for a couple do just rent a room for a week.

A FAIRE ABSOLUMENT

Très belle maison de caractère, excellent accueil du propriétaire, chambres très belles et très spacieuses, salles de bains et toilettes privatives d'une parfaite propreté, passage d'une femme de chambre pour faire le lit et changer les serviettes et faire le ménage. excellent petit déjeuner. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Desde da receptividade do proprietário, passando pela recuperação feita na casa, até ao pequeno almoço deixado para nós estava muito bom. Mantendo o estilo da época, juntou a modernidade actual, tendo o objectivo final resultado num espaço único e agradável. Único contra é não ter estacionamento privado resguardado

Casa rural

Este hotel é uma casa de 175 anos de construção, feita em pedra e mantém o aspecto antigo. Seus quartos são simples. Quem busca conforto poderá se decepcionar com este alojamento. Os proprietários são muito simpáticos. O café da manhã foi extremamente simples, não sei se era porque fomos os únicos hóspedes que estavam no hotel.
