A pleasant stay

Excellent location at walking distance of the Vasco da Gama shopping centre and 5-10min drive to the airport. It was a pleasant stay at the Hotel. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and beautiful river views. Cleaning was spot on! We were welcomed with a wine, nuts and biscuits, really nice touch. The breakfast is good but it would be nice to have more variety of hot and colds, including the pastries, we found a little bit limited. The Staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a good stay and we recommend.

Our third stay at this hotel excellent location staff a friendly we checked out early hours a takeaway breakfast was made up for us and a taxi was waiting for us for the airport excellent service

Great location for both bus and train station, also metro if wanting to visit city centre
Cable car and aquarium with views over towards the 17 kilometres Vasco de Gama bridge and plenty of bars restaurants and shopping centres
The room we had on the 8th floor was very quiet and well equipped
The staff were very friendly and efficient
The lift had the added security of floor selection was on the outside and only visible for a second
Breakfast had plenty of choices and they catered well for coeliacs

Nice hotel / not so nice customer service

Nice hotel with great location. Clean rooms and overall modern feed to the rooms and communal areas. As is often the case in a very competitive hospitality market it’s the small things like customer service , staff attitude that can make or break the experience. This is where they failed us. No coffee supplied in room although there was a kettle, tea bags, and coffee pods. I asked at the front desk for a machine or instant coffee and was told not all rooms are supplied coffee. Pointed out we did have pods and was told its a mistake and someone came come and take them away. i said I would really like coffee and was told you have tea. Asked politely again and told you can always go to the bar in the morning but they wont supply coffee.
OK this is a small thing (although cant remember ever being in a hotel that only supply tea) but how easily would it be to make a slightly annoyed customer happy by saying … “its not policy sir but in this case we will make an exception”? Was not going to write a review based on lack of coffee alone but while having this discussion with the desk clerk, the manager was standing in background, listening in and said nothing.
So nice enough hotel but please read up / supply training to your managers and teams on what good customer service looks like.

Excellent!

Beautiful hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff especially at the desk with Esau. The room service was excellent, they cleaned it every day. I would highly recommend a stay here.
