Dreamy location
Location is spectacular, up in the hills surrounded by greenery. Facilities are excellent, gardens are beautiful. It’s so calm and peaceful, a sanctuary for those wanting to get away from it all. Staff are so friendly and kind, food is fab, bedrooms are lovely. Good value for money

My stay was very pleasant and exceeded my expectations. The accommodation was very clean, well organized, comfortable and with an excellent location, allowing easy access to the main points of interest. The decor is cozy and the space conveys a sense of tranquility, ideal for rest.
I would also like to highlight the sympathy, availability and professionalism of the hosts, who have always been helpful and attentive, contributing to an even more positive experience.
Overall, I recommend this accommodation without hesitation. It is an excellent option for those looking for comfort, good location and quality service. I would definitely choose this space again on a future visit.

Amazing retreat venue!
Rhythm and Motion Lisbon hosted their inaugural dance & yoga retreat at Vila Foia and we loved it so much that we plan to return next summer!
Michel and Henk, the owners, are incredibly gracious and wonderful to work with, and their team is competent and welcoming. They partnered with several local small businesses to offer us unique cultural experiences, including tile making, wine and olive oil tasting, a hike to thermal baths and a suspended bridge, and an exquisite fado performance by a local artist.
Vila Foia has lovely grounds perfect for activities and respite. We danced in the dome and used the yoga deck for a scenic practice. The pool is large and refreshing. Vila Foia is nestled on a mountain in a cork forest, and our group of 30 intergenerational women stayed there comfortably, enjoying 3 delicious and nourishing meals daily during our week-long retreat.
We would absolutely recommend this venue for a retreat because the space allows for both quiet relaxation and community connection. It is also less than an hour from the coast, so our group also ventured to Portimao for a beach day!

My stay at VillaFoia was simply outstanding.
This is the kind of place where you can truly disconnect from everyday life. The tranquility, privacy, and peaceful atmosphere are exceptional, and the beautiful surroundings with breathtaking views over the mountains and the Algarve make the experience even more special.
The property was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh, high-quality products, and served in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The location is also perfect—close enough to explore the region while still offering complete peace and quiet away from the crowds.
I would especially like to thank Márcio for his kindness, professionalism, and outstanding hospitality. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel genuinely welcome. He was always available to help, attentive to every detail, and his warm, professional attitude made a real difference to my stay.

Wonderful place
It was amazing our stay, our room was wonderful, cosy, clean, and with a stunning view.
