Excellent apartment off the beaten track

We stayed in the studio apartment with balcony for 5 nights in June. The complex is a small group of buildings set around a central (small) swimming pool. Our apartment was above the garage and the front door led directly out to the pool area. There are 4 sunloungers and several other chairs and bean bags by the pool as well as a covered bbq/food preparation area where there are also tables and chairs. There were only 2 other people staying for most of the time we were here so it was lovely and quiet in this communal area. Maybe, it would be noisy if more people are staying?
The apartment was excellent. A big sitting/ dining/kitchen area with a separate  bedroom and a nice shower room. There is plenty of storage space. The kitchen has a microwave as well as a cooker and dish washer. The utensils and crockery provided were sparse but adequate for our requirements and we were told to ask if we needed anything extra. We were able to use the washing machine in the garage to wash our clothes which was much appreciated as we are on a long trip.
Breakfast is nice, fairly standard continental breakfast  - cereals, bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, cake with slight daily variations.There was freshly squeezed orange juice which was delicious.
Paula was a fantastic host, helpful and very knowledgeable about local sites and walks

Very Peaceful spot, clean rooms & Superb breakfast.

Peaceful spot in converted farm buildings in a small village in an elevated location above the Douro.
clean and spacious rooms with good shower.
Lovely pool area to lounge around and relax with a cold drink.
Stayed earlier in May with a group of cyclists touring the Douro valley.
Host very helpful and the breakfast with local produce was excellent.
Would recommend.

Nice stay in the mountain above the Duoro

This is a renovated old farm house. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The best place to spend the time is around the pool facing the fields. It's very quiet and relaxing. We had a good early breakfast just before we left for Coa valley with 20,000 year old stone carvings.

If you want something different.......

Absolutely unexpected experience. Maintaining the tradition of the construction of the transmontanas houses, Mallus offers a contemporary space, comfortable and very relaxing. Excellent service, thank you Paula, I felt on vacation even though I was at work. Good cleaning and breakfast. I will certainly return

Relax

Excellent place to be with friend and family. Nice and big rooms, with extra bed for children. Good cleaning. Breakfast with regional products. Relaxing place with good view. Kindness of the staff. Free wi-fi.
