Great hotel in a superb location

Beautiful hotel in the stunning duoro valley. It’s a very tranquil spot but still walkable or a short drive to the small town. The staff were friendly, very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay memorable.
Our room (I think it was a suite) had a terrific view of the nearby hills and terraces. It was comfortable, well appointed and very clean. Perfect for a few nights. We had a terrace too which was lovely to watch the sunset from or for an early coffee.
Breakfast was included too, and was well presented and very tasty.
We booked directly with the hotel and found the prices to be very competitive.

Relaxing by the Douro

We stayed for 4 nights in this hotel, it was very relaxing, beautiful views down through the valley to the Douro river from our balcony and the pool area.
A sharp walk up the hill to the hotel from the village, not for faint hearted, we used the local taxi
Our room was compact but as we didn't spend any time in it except to sleep it was adequate and very clean.
A special mention to the lovely receptionists who looked after us, nothing was ever too much trouble for them, they were so friendly and approachable.
We would definitely recommend this hotel for a chilled out few days in a beautiful area of Portugal.

Stunning , beautiful and quirky hotel with amazing views

What an amazing hotel - stunning location and views - very pleasant design , decor and furnishings.
Our room with balcony was excellent and comfortable with beautiful views of river , valley and vineyards - the in room facilities were ideal and very well maintained.
The staff were friendly , helpful , efficient, professional and exceptionally customer friendly.
The number of staff reflects the number of rooms - and the overall tranquility and ambiance of hotel.
The staff were brilliant and a total asset to the hotel ( special mention to Joana)
Breakfast , swimming pool and hotel in general - idyllic.
Quaint walk down to the village and river - the return walk gets easier with time

LBV did not disappoint. It was very close to all the vineyards we wanted to visit. The pool was very refreshing at the end of the day. The rooms are very comfortable and spectacular views. The shower pressure was also great. The breakfast buffet was very varied and delicious. Even had gluten free bread upon request. I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful property in a great location. People working there are very kind and accommodating. Decent breakfast and they have a small selection of items for dinner. Mostly salads and sandwiches but it’s all very tasty with a beautiful sunset view of the mountains.
