Relaxing stay in an individual accommodation.

We were there for a week. The view from the balcony of the mountains was a dream. In Sao Vicente, there are many good restaurants. The breakfast was really good. Always fresh juices from the garden. Very nice staff. A great starting point for many hikes. Top-notch.

A beautiful, peaceful place surrounded by nature, conveniently close to the main road and São Vicente. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. We loved the delicious breakfast which included fresh local produce. The pool, sauna, and lovely little terrace are perfect for relaxing. Highly recommended!

Disappointment compared to the reviews and ratings.

Is it because we had room 7 at the back with no view supposedly of the garden, above the ventilation with a noisy motor, near the staircase that echoes, that the reception is only available during very limited hours, and that the breakfasts are really not up to par (unless you like plant-based dairy products) with very poor croissants?
In short, disappointment compared to what we expected.
These points need to be reviewed because the location is pleasant with potential.

Great stay north of Madeira

Great stay with great beds.
Good location also for starting point of hikes and visits. In restaurant Calamar fine eaten.

Delightful hotel with serene setting and amazing breakfast

We had a lovely time at this delightful, quiet hotel, with views of the lush valley and pretty village, a good-sized indoor swimming pool, and a fantastic, mostly homemade or home-grown breakfast. The staff are friendly and professional, the rooms large and well decorated, and everything immaculately clean. The only downside of the serene location is that you will need a car to drive to dinner in the evenings, but it's a fair trade-off and only a few minutes' drive to Sao Vicente, the coast, a levada walk, and more.
