The worst nightmare of a family stay

Summary of the experience:
Our stay in Ocean Village was extremely disappointing and did not meet our expectations for a relaxing holiday. Here I detail the problems we encountered during our visit:
1. Problems with the bathroom:
• The toilet was not working properly and did not go down well.
• The shower was blocked and the water was not flowing properly.
2. Hygiene and cleaning:
• We found cockroaches on the property, which is unacceptable.
• There was a rodent in one of the rooms and a mousetrap, indicating that they are aware of the problem but have not resolved it.
• The sofa bed was dirty and there were dead insects and excrement in the corners.
• When moving the fridge, we found a mousetrap.
3. Problems with service:
• We were without power from 2 pm to 10 pm due to frequent problems with the breakers.
• We were not provided with enough towels or bed linen for the sofa bed.
4. Response from staff:
• We reported the irregularities on 7/12/24 and, although they left us an additional towel, the rest of the problems were not adequately addressed.
• We were told that problems should have been reported at the time of arrival, but we consider cleanliness and safety to be the property's responsibilities from before our arrival.
• We were offered a 30% discount on a future stay, which we considered insufficient given the level of inconvenience we experienced.
In conclusion, our experience in Ocean Village was very negative. Hygiene, maintenance and lack of adequate response from administrative staff led us to change accommodation. I would not recommend this place and hope other guests do not have to go through the same.
