Pleasant Stay at Casa Sofia with Outstanding Service

I stayed with my mother for 5 nights at Casa Sofia in Bucharest during our trip through Romania – from Bucharest to Brașov and finally to Mamaia. The location of the pension is very convenient, close to the city center, and we had everything we needed for our stay.
What really stood out was the friendliness and dedication of Ioanna at the reception. She was extremely helpful, always available, and made sure every request was taken care of. Her warm hospitality truly made a difference during our time there. I also like to Highlight how delicious the freshly made omelet at breakfast was.
The only downside, and the reason I cannot give a full 5-star rating, was the air conditioning in our room. It was not strong enough, and during the hot summer days it sometimes felt like being in a sauna.
Overall, Casa Sofia is a good option for travelers on a smaller budget who want to explore Romania and its charm, especially if you spend most of your days out in the city. With its central location and the exceptional service from Ioanna, our stay was very enjoyable despite the minor issue.

Cheap solution with a strategic location, to visit Bucharest in a weekend

Good property, strategically located, a stone's throw from the Stefan Cel Mare metro line 1 stop (in the area also a useful Mega Image supermarket open 24/7).
The owner was kind in welcoming us late at night when we arrived at the property.
The room, all in all clean and spacious, was equipped with mini fridge, desk, bathroom with shower, wardrobe and a double bed (although we were three guests, but we adapted).
The whole structure is well air-conditioned and insulated, with good quality fixtures.
Bottles of hot and cold water are present on each floor.
Breakfast a bit monotonous, but hearty, served directly in the room (there is no dining room).
The curtains in the room are not very opaque/blackout, resulting in being a bit exposed in the evening, with the lights on and being woken up early in the morning, by sunlight.
The bathroom would need renovation, although it is functional and with hot water at any time.
It should be noted that most of the rooms are from the first floor up and there is no elevator, only stairs.
While the owner correctly delivered breakfast at the entrance, her assistant entered the room, regardless of whether there were still people sleeping inside.

Good value little hotel

Stayed on numerous occasions. It is a small hotel with good clean rooms and excellent value for money. The location is fairly central and convenient for tourists and business in town. Public transport is relatively close. If you are coming with a car parking can be a bit of a problem.

Never visit!

Most horrible hotel ever! Two mornings without hot water all rooms! Never come back! It wasn't clean and the bath was getting with so much water plus inside the room! The only smiled person was the cleaner but hard to undarstand each other if you are not from Romania...
