Lovely hotel with a central location. Very pleasant staff.

We did spend 4 nights at Vila Sia and we are very satisfied. It was clean, neat and tidy.
The receptionists were very accommodating and helped us out i.e.ordering taxi til the airport. And they did follow-up even that we were leaving very early. The room itself were of a good size, a good queensize bed, an "indoor balcony" and a nice bathroom. The only thing that we were troubled of, was the lack of hot water once. And it might depends on the public supply - nothing to worry about. The hotel is located quite close to city center and the malls as well. We walked around the city, it was the objective of our trip to Bucharest, but the public transportation is just outside the hotel. Of course the trams can be noisy, but we did not take notice after a couple of hours. As a bonus, the restaurant, Toka, that shares entrence with the hotel is lovely and servs good food. And your are never in doubt where the hotel is located, they have lights on the fence giving a cozy look.
When we are heading for Bucharest again, we will look for Vila Sia.

To be avoided

Very cold rooms with infinitesimal size summer blanket , hosting not present , noisy stairs, room mail that did not close .. To be avoided absolutely!

I wouldn't go back

Not bad, but lack of hospitality as as soon as we arrived in the room we didn't even find a bottle of water, uncomfortable bed and pillows, the smell of sewage came out of the bathroom and between one room and another it was as if the wall wasn't there , even the slightest noise could be heard. I wouldn't go back

Very comfortable, but poor service. I will not be returning.

I stayed in the Executive Suite, which was extremely spacious and comfortable. It looked exactly like the pictures. I enjoyed the good seating area with a nice sofa and armchair, and the bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in at a hotel.
WiFi was very fast and reliable.
The bathroom looks nice at first glance, but there are a few major flaws: there is no place at all to put your things: no shelf, no cupboard, nowhere. The sink is very small and you can't put anything there either. You simply have to store everything outside the bathroom and then go out to get it as and when you need it.
The shower is fine and has really good water pressure, but the tiles on the floor are very slippery and this, combined with the fact that the floor slopes unusually steeply towards the back wall, means that I nearly fell several times. For this reason, I won't be returning - I simply don't dare.
The daily cleaning of the room is inadequate. The bed is made, the bathroom, for example, is not checked at all.
There is no manned reception. I had to wait for someone to turn up to check in and they didn't speak English, so I was just given keys and shown to my room. No welcome, no information, no nothing. If you need advice or information along the way, it's not available in practice.
The room faces the street, where there is noise from many cars and especially trams. There is also a lot of noise from the restaurant downstairs, at least until midnight. I had to sleep with earplugs, but that solved the problem and I slept quite well.

Hotel with a lot of noise and broken hairdryer in the bathroom

From the photos on booking the hotel seems nice, but once you get there you realize the inconvenience... lots of noise until late at night, shouting, and none of the staff who intervened despite the complaints. Plus, the hairdryer in the bathroom broken and sink drain as well.
A rip-off!
