Spacious, clean and very friendly

After a very late arrival in Rm. Valcea due to traffic we found Vila Victoria spontaneously via the web and luckily there was a room available.
It was just a one night transit stay - however the room and the bathroom were very spacious clean and adequately equipped with everything needed during a hotel stay (small fridge, modern TV set, hair dryer ...). On top of this the room had access to a huge balcony overlooking the hotel garden full of vegetables which are freshly served during the included breakfast.
All in all we were very pleased by our short stay and would not hesitate to choose this location also for a longer stay.

You get what you pay for

Well, Booking.com messed up (again). The place is not as described.
First thing – they do not speak English. I managed a bit with a few words in Romanian and with my broken French.
Second thing – there is no elevator at all, describing "upper floors are accessible by stairs" does not mean that there is no elevator at all. From the street, there is a staircase of about 1 floor just to reach the entrance to the house and then more stairs to climb.
Room was well lit, aired and clean, Bathroom is strange – it is really big, but has a door that goes out to a common balcony shared by the other rooms.
Wifi was fine and we got slippers too.
The lady of the house was really sweet and offered to fix us some late dinner because we arrived late. Breakfast was fine and kept us going for the day.
You get what you pay for, considering the description was right. I guess Booking.com don't really pay attention to what they offer. My suggestion – do not use Booking.com.
