Nice Hilton Hotel in Sibiu!

On our tour of Transylvania we stayed three nights at the Hilton Sibiu. As Hilton status customers, we got a nice upgrade to a large executive room with balcony on the quiet side facing the forest on the 5th (top) floor. The room was very nicely decorated, fully equipped in “another opulent style known for Hilton”.
The hotel offers Executive & Status customers an Executive Lounge with happy hour. The hot and cold dishes were changing daily.
The breakfast buffet was extensive.
The hotel also has a gym & spa.
We could park the rental car on the hotel grounds without any problems and free of charge.
The public bus leaves right in front of the hotel and arrives there again.
We were very pleased with the stay at Hilton Sibiu!

Maybe its Nice for Romania!

I am a Diamond Member of the Hilton Family. I have read all the other reviews and realize that in comparison to other hotels in Romania one may think this particular Hilton is a Gem. In reality it is a very tired property with furniture in the room which is sat out and looks like it was here during the Communist times. The shower is with in a HIGH Tub with no grab bar and a quarter piece of glass . Getting out for an older person is very difficult and I am sure for a young person they have to think about being careful. The breakfast in the morning is quite nice except for the fact that they say a person will make special eggs. The only problem there is no one manning the station. All and all this hotel is long over due for a make over or a change of name to one of Hiltons lesser brands.

Average Overall, Too Expensive and Too Far from Historic Center

Average room on the small side. Average bathroom on the small side. Mediocre breakfast. Too far outside the historic center of Sibiu. Expensive at prices like New York City. Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend it to others? No.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was amazing. I loved the property and yes it’s not close to the old town but I didn’t mind it (10 minute car ride). Loved the pool and restaurant.
