Nice and cosy accomodation in Capital of Medieval Muntenia

Hotel Valahia, located in old historical medieval Capital of Muntenia (one of three counties of Romania) is a nice, cosy and cheap accommodation in the centre of city. Nearby, the old Tower of Vlad Impaler's Castle is open to visitors.
I enjoyed the freshly cooked and absolutely delicious bakery local products, stopped only by the fear of necessary gym exercises for getting rid of extra kilos after...
Quiet and comfortable room, ideal after a long travel by plane and bus.
Yes, the carpet and bath need an update but overall it was worthy for fee paid on it.

Not recommended

It has the worst service, the rooms are very dirty ( like we found a lot of hair and even a bottle of open wine in the room). The rooms are very old and the elevators work very hard. And above all of that there is no help from anyone if you come across an issue

Should get shut! 0 safety measurements!

The elevator doors can literally crush you on your way out... No sensor at door and my new-birn child was about to get caught in between if not for the stroller... And if asking for help, you are let all by youself... Oh, and just try to attention the staff, it is unacceptable, no one cares and you get bad looks... Not to mention the filth inside the rooms... Extreme dissapointment. They should get shut, this is safety we are talking about!

Perfect, for the price

It is centrally located, nice building, clean. But there is a problem - not all the rooms have AC. Parking lot is small. The lady at the parking lot asked us to pay even though she was told by the hotel personnel that the hotel guests do not have to pay for parking. Receptionists were OK, BUT NOT EXTRA SUPPER KIND.

Verry poor

Dirty bathroom, old appliances, empty minibar, Closed restaurant at 9pm. Old and dirty bed sheets. Not comming back. Luckilly we only stayed one night. You are better of with a small but.new building.
