Good services

We booked 2 rooms, the location of the hotel is very good, near Poarta Sarutului and Masa Tacerii (less than 5 mins walk). The facade of the hotel looked neglected, but the rooms were very clean and comfy. The heating worked perfectly fine, it wasnt cold in the room. We also swam in the pool, the water was at the perfect temperature. The room had a weird door, if you push a little harder you could easily break in. We will surely come here again.

Really Poor

Well where to begin it’s only three positives central location, the room was clean and it was an ok price (this may be due to all the negative things)
I booked via booking.com and the content was massively incorrect in terms of facilities there are none of what was advertised.
One light bulb in the bedroom worked, the TV did not work, the phone did not work, no smoke alarms, the shower doors fell off (I fixed them the invoice is in the post). The bed was extremely uncomfortable with a domestic thin mattress and not one suitable for a hotel.
I don’t want this review to be overly negative so will refrain from listing all the other negative points.
I like to end on a positive but couldn’t think of one. Sorry.

Not so modern but in the center

The rooms are not so big and have a basic furniture rather old. You can see that the hotel is very old. The sheets and the towels were clean. The street is noisy at night because it s located in the city center right beside the park were poarta sarutului and masa tacerii made by Brâncuși are situated. It s nice that there is a supermarket near the hotel. The restaurant is old and it has few options to chose from but the food is fresh made and the portions are big. Also they don t have many beverages to chose from. The breakfast is 20 lei per person but in my opinion you can make sandwiches from.the supermarket. It s rather simple and not so tasty because the ham, cheese and bread are cheap. The staff is friendy enough. I know that they have a pool but i didn t go. I think it s not worth the price

Cheap hotel, big rooms, good beds, clean

This is a old hotel from the communist era with certain flavors to it:
The good:
- rooms are large think 4* space
- hotel architecture will make you think of a dystopian world
- the hotel does have a pool
- right in the city center
- good Carrefour shop next to it
- price is very reasonable
- everything is very clean
- some high end materials like marble
The bad:
- unkept
- not properly heated
- some doors don't close very well
- not well heated
- certain areas are noisy.

Time machine

Great choice if you really want to enjoy the '80 s again
This place really needs a complete upgrade. Nothing looked from this century.
Location is good. Right in the center and near the park with Brancusi sculptures
Book at your own risk!
