Păstrăvărie Zăvoi
It was a beautiful experience with an relaxing view and a superb area. The food is very tasty and fresh. It's near Argeș Monastery and a lot of forests trees. The hospitalities is the main thing that Romanians have with all the attention and details and the very good music.

Don't bother!
Don't bother! This place is not where you want to and up after seeing such a beautiful country, the crew is trying
their best to make this work but when you have such a owner nothing makes sense any more. Best of luck for the team! A place to avoid!!!!!

Stay away unless you want to spend money aimlessly into an idiot’s pocket
Paid over €500, was allowed to fish one night and the next night no because the owner decided we can’t on this day, despite it not being a problem the day before. We stayed an extra night because of the fishing, had an hour cut off us. Ever changing times, bait lost and fish lost. Lack of rules and changes with the wind, clearly, depending on the owner’s mood. We paid for all fish, we caught 12 (can only assume that’s the problem as we got told we wouldn’t catch any) and we were the only ones staying here!!! The key also snapped when locking the door, owner wants to now charge us for it after being told not to worry about it and it happens. Key was clearly snapped in half and could not be helped. Also helped staff change the lock. Told not to worry about it and then handed a bill. I’m 5ft 1 and have 0 strength. I cannot snap a key. Even proved that with the new key provided. No invoice given, expected to pay. Very unfortunate for the staff who are lovely, provide excellent service and not their fault at all, but the owner is a nightmare as per stories we’ve been told from locals and own staff. Should’ve listened and stayed clear away. It’s my first time in Romania and not a good impression. Cabins are also sub par. No tea/coffee etc, just a kettle. Expected to just drink hot water? Toilet paper is clearly very cheap stuff. Mattress uncomfortable. Bathrooms are a wet room so toilet/sink etc is soaking when taking a shower and hot water lasts 2 minutes. TV doesn’t work. Restaurant food is very good but would rather order elsewhere to not put any more money into greedy pockets. Says on the cards housekeeping every 2 days, we stayed 3 nights and have not had any housekeeping. Haven’t complained about anything as we were more bothered about the fishing, which we then had taken away from us, and the staff are genuinely excellent and it’s not their fault. Very disappointing end to what started out to be a lovely stay because of random rules whenever the owner feels like it and power trips dependant on mood. Somewhat reminiscent of the current political affairs in the United States. Ridiculous. Money trap. Would probably be a nice stay if you didn’t care for fishing. If you want to fish here, do not bother.

A piece of paradise
After a long drive we found this picturesque place where we could relax wonderfully. In this beautiful spot on earth you could not only stay comfortably, but also enjoy delicious food from the local fish farm. It was a small moment. Paradise on earth, which we really enjoyed. We were particularly impressed by the friendly service, which found a solution for everything. Of course, you shouldn't be surprised if a frog croaks every now and then when you're out in nature, but you're happy to put up with that when you can relax in such a wonderful place. It's an absolute insider tip and I would like to recommend this place. Thank you very much for letting us be there.

Hustlers for the highest bid
At booking time the property said that they accept a voucher payment method upon arrival and confirmed the booking.
3 days before checkin, they threaten to cancel the stay if I dont pay a portion of the price upfront.
They claim that they are receiving a large number of reservation requests and I need to reconfirm the booking by an advance payment via wire transfer. The reason provided was that there were many unserious customers who book and don't pay.
This comes after they explicitly confirmed the booking to me in writing.
So now, my British guest, whom I was planning to bring over to that location, will have a taste of the "Romanian tourism".
I guess that transparency and holding a promise are not a core business value for this location.
