Exceptional Service and a Wonderful Stay

The receptionist was very friendly and helped accommodate my entire team of four. She truly made the experience one of a kind with her flexibility and willingness to help. The entire St. Jean team was cordial, professional, and attentive to detail, delivering excellent service throughout our stay.
Definitely a great place to stay. Highly recommended!

Down the hill to Lake Kivu

Me and wife stayed at this hotel for 1 night during our trip to Rwanda. The hotel stands on the Kibuye peninsula and is a good base to go on a “boat cruise” on Lake Kivu. We were given a large room with a large bed and a small toilet. The room (number 6) is a corner room and has magnificent views on both sides to the surroundings, which include a view over the lake and over “Le Château”. The hotel also has a nice restaurant where one can have breakfast or lunch while appreciating the lake views. The staff was always very helpful, which helped us having a comfortable stay.

Quiet home, in a magnificent environment

Very pretty home, ideally located for the panorama, each room enjoying a magnificent view of the lake and the mountains, as does the restaurant terrace.
Comfort is basic but very sufficient.
The restaurant's cuisine could be more varied..

Attention.
They steal in this hotel. €130 and $50 were stolen from my wallet in a locked room. Only someone employed there could have done this. Be careful with your money, I made the mistake of leaving my purse with my wallet in the room. Always have your money with you because they lie and don't admit that money has been stolen.

Amazing view and lunch!

We had a very good lunch at Home St Jean. The view is amazing and the food was too. Definitely worth to go for lunch. You can even stay the night, and prices are pretty cheap!
Take into account that you generally have to wait around one hour before you actually receive your food at the table.
