Our friend recommended this place, and I’m glad they did. First, the property has a beautiful view. We especially enjoyed watching the sunrise over the lake. Our tent was very clean and well maintained, clearly high quality. I was impressed with the water pressure and temperature of the shower even in the tent. It was refreshing to swim in the pool after a long safari ride. The food was great and staff were wonderful, especially Aimee. We are grateful for the driver they arranged - Said was an experienced and excellent guide to the park. We would come back any time!

Out of Africa, but with an All In feeling.

Forget who you are here, let the landscape in. Immerse yourself in the surroundings and be aware that you may be part of something special for a while. Bring things, but don't forget to leave something for the people who come after you. Rent a jeep, ask a guide, Escape the over-examined safaris, come here and see an amazing environment.

Confusing but very enriching.

I spent a night in this hotel in the heart of nature.
The rooms are comfortable.
The outdoor shower and toilets are initially disorienting, but washing outside facing the sunrise is an exceptional and timeless experience.
The staff is friendly and available.
The ecological concept of this hotel is remarkable in itself.

Where Comfort Meets the Wild – Impeccable Experience

Akagera Rhino Lodge is a stunning property with breathtaking views over Lake Ihema—its three-star rating truly does not do it justice.
The luxury tent delivered an excellent glamping experience: clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and inclusive of vegetarian options.
Service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and delivered by a team clearly passionate and knowledgeable about the lodge and its surroundings.
Activities within Akagera National Park were seamlessly coordinated, making for a relaxed and enjoyable stay.
Highly recommended for both a quiet refined weekend escape or a longer stay immersed in nature.

Stunning!.. place and people

Thank you! Amazing place to stay- great energy, naturally crafted, peaceful, nestled in stunning nature. What made the whole experience truly special is the staff- loving, warm, hospitable, kind… Moragoze ( thank you) to all of you!… The beautiful manager Arlette, Aimable- our amazing gifted safari guide- a gentleman, of integrity wisdom, humility, so very kind; we felt so looked after in his presence. He created a magical experience. Thank you to the fantastic chefs for culinary Rwandan & international delights, Chantal, Alex, Aimee, Nelson and to all the gorgeous friends at reception and to all those making the place beautifully cleansed and lovely, to all others behind the scenes . Totally recommend rhino lodge and team!
