Very good value
The hotel is close to the city center and just a 5-10 min. taxi drive away from the bus station.
We could chose between two different rooms for different prices. We chose the cheaper one (around 30$) which was totally okay, good bathroom and nice bed, even a small terrace with a table in front of the room. Everything clean and safe - as the whole city.
When you arrive here you might expect a noisy hotel because it is located at a big main street. But the rooms are located around a courtyard 50 metres away from the street - so it is very quiet.
The restaurant is cheap and offers decent food although due to communication problems you might get something different than what you have offered. For a change the restaurant in "Chez Lando Hotel" ist a 5 min. walk away.
Just don't rely on booking.com bookings: When we arrived with our booking the receptionist had no idea of our online booking. It is probably better to call.

Close to bus station, cheap, nice room
This is a great little place in the center of town. Close to the bus which was so convenient for me. I was a lone traveler busing from Uganda but felt safe here. And its an easy walk to the buses.
Its nothing fancy so don't expect much. But great for those of us wanting a central, affordable option. And I didn't hear the traffic even though its on a main road. It was a fun stay in Kigali!

Cheap accomadation in the heart of Kigali
All in all, we stayed three nights in La Caverne. The prices are reasonable (about 7500-15000 RWF per night/person incl. breakfast, depending on the room and if you use the room as single or double bed room - try to pay in Rwandan Franc and not in Dollar though! Prices are much higher in US-Dollar), the stuff is quite friendly and there is a bar. WIFI is accessable in the reception area and bar/dinning area, but don't expect too much. Further, it's very close to the city centre.

Conveniently placed, appropriately priced and a great view
I was just in Kigali for a short time but would recommend Auberge La Caverne. It's just up the road from the central bus station and very conveniently placed for transit.
The food was good and not too expensive, the room was clean and the shower was hot. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

we have been to kigali for 5 times ,now at Martin we found a difference, first a warm welcome from kigali international airport we were dropped to the motel by shuttle a private mean by the motel ;secondly,services/accommodation are beyond what we expected and the rates are affordable.
