Genuine Rwandian hospitality

We had the most amazing experience in Bugesera Lodge: thank you so much for the hospitality in every way!
The place is decorated with natural materials all over. Anybody can learn how to offer luxury while avoiding plastic!
We had an easy welcome, full flexibility with arrival and departure times. And above all: a great Rwandian-french dinner. Please don’t forget to visit their shop to buy some home made souvenirs (starting with re usable bags!)

Wonderful lodge!

My wife and I had a lovely one night stay at Bugesera Lodge before we moved east to Akagera National Park and we wish we could have stayed longer! We were so well looked after by Jocelyn and her staff. As we were travelling in 'shoulder' season we had the whole place to ourselves where we got to enjoy the beautiful gardens and have some cold beers playing table tennis.
We were treated to an amazing 4 course meal in the evening which was like dining in France!
The rooms after very well appointed, personally decorated and wonderfully clean. We will definitely be stopping by again when we are back in Rwanda. Highly recommend especially for bird lovers!

An unmissable destination with a splendid view of the Akagera valley, 30’ from Kigali, very easy accessibility

Exceptional welcome
Garden and its multitude of birds a real pleasure for the eyes
Very relaxing, very quiet except for the birdsong which avoids the alarm ringing in the morning
Very clean, spacious bungalows with everything needed
Dining room and bar tastefully furnished in an African style
Hearty breakfast, with choice.

An oasis surrounded by nature 30 minutes from Kigali

A large two-hectare garden full of flowers and birds 30 minutes from the center of Kigali. A set of individual, comfortable and very well designed rooms, housed in solid bungalows, inspired by traditional huts. A restaurant with table football and table tennis (the children loved it)... All run with passion by Jocelyne and Jean-Christophe, a Franco-Rwandan couple, very good advice for the surrounding hikes and other excursions.
