A beautiful must-go place

This is a -beautiful- place. I’ve stayed here now the 10th time (first time was in winter of 2019) and don’t regret it. Service, food, location and rooms (I did tents, cabana and bungalow) are great.
If you wish to stay at a beautiful place which wholeheartedly supports ecotourism and the community nearby, you should go here.

Love at first sight

Set in a beautiful terraced garden overlooking Lake Kivu, INZU Lodge is a real slice of heaven. We stayed in the family bungalow at the top of the grounds. It was comfortable and everything we needed. The private shower and (pit) toilet were in a seperate building just outside the room, which added some adventure to our stay. Some early morning noise from the village though.
The staff are wonderful, always smiling and helpful. There is a restaurant on site, which serves delicious meals. It does take some time to prepare the food, so order on time. The garden is just lovely and full of birds. You can tell by everything that this lodge really respects its surroundings and the "eco" is not just for marketing.
You can arrange activities at the lodge, but not everything listed on their site was available. In our experience it's better (and cheaper, yet easy) to arrange activities in the village itself.

What a charming and relaxing stay I had at this lodge. I brought friends and we had a marvelous time!
The staff was excellent. Everything was clean. The food was very good. Great location. On a main road so easy to get to.
I would stay here again.

Great stay!

Cutest little lodge! Reminded me a bit of summer camp in the best way. Our hut was cozy and enjoyed the fire out front at night. Food at the restaurant was great, we especially loved the sambaza as part of the traditional Rwandan meal. all in all a great stay!

nice but basic place

The setting is beautiful with great views of the lake. The tents are clean but very basic and cheap. The internet only works at the restaurant, not in the rooms. It is also very annoying that they don't take credit cards, only cash. The road to reach the lodge is very steep and super bumpy, I did it with a 4wd but I wouldn't risk a nice car to go up. Food is good but slow, especially for breakfast if you need an early start.
Ask the reception for a tour of the lake in the late afternoon to see the fishermen setting up their nets.
