Perfect event organization at Yaas Hotel Almadies ⭐⭐⭐⭐‐
We organized our event on March 8th at the Yaas Hotel Dakar Almadies and we are extremely satisfied with the experience.
From the beginning of the preparation, the whole team was professional, available and very attentive to our needs. A special mention to Ms. Seynabou , who accompanied us with great care and kindness throughout the organization. We really felt supported and confident.
On the day of the event, everything was perfectly coordinated:
The welcome, service and support of the team contributed greatly to the success of the evening.
Many thanks also to Chef Mbaye for the quality of the appetizers and the menu proposed. The juices were delicious and the composition of the meal was very appreciated by all participants.
We warmly thank the entire Yaas Hotel team for their professionalism and commitment.
We highly recommend this property for organizing events in Dakar.

Well located, spotless, good breakfast selections. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, arranging transportation, answering questions about the are@ and even lending me an adapter when I realized I had forgotten mine.

Staff were kind, personable and informative. Beds are very firm, room is small, it works for one, might be tight for 2. Overall great stay..

Frankly a mixed experience - some good, some not good
I stayed here on business and was booked in by colleagues so didn't choose it myself. The hotel clearly styles itself on modern "western" budget/convenience chains such as Citizen M, however the amenities, quality and implementation fall well below the standards of the likes of Citizen M.
The good: The staff are excellent, the downstairs restaurant/lobby space is nice, the beds are comfortable and there is plentiful hot water. Oh - and good internet. So in general the key things are ok.
The bad: The rooms are very small, the desk is small, and there is no separate bathroom (the sink takes up part of the desk). That would be OK had it been properly planned like Citizen M, but it just doesn't work here - the power sockets are poorly planned/located, the desk chair is too low to work comfortably, there is no fridge for drinks, there is no phone to call reception, there are no coffee/tea facilities, and there is nowhere to place your suitcase. The fixtures and fittings are of domestic rather than commercial grade, so are already falling apart, both in the rooms, but also in the corridors, which are very tatty. There is no water provided for free on a daily basis. The breakfast is very poor (cold pizza anyone?) and is identical every day with no rotation of items. The coffee is not good. It was survivable for a few days (apart from having no fridge to store cold drinks, which I really found to be problematic) but I wouldn't want to be here for more than that, and would probably not return.
