Elegant and stylish hotel in a rather crumbling building

The hotel is in the top floors of a rather unprepossessing building a short walk away from Nis' pedestrian centre. There are three parking spaces dedicated to the hotel outside, which should be reserved in advance and cost eight euro a day. The hotel itself is immaculate with fine art, tasteful decor and elegant furnishings, but the lower storeys of the building are a little messy - the open wiring in the lobby could do with some serious attention and the door handle hanging off on the third floor was a worry, which is probably not the fault of the hotel, but this disarray doesn't give a good first impression. There is a lift up to the lobby, but you still have to traverse on flight of stairs to reach it and at least one other flight to reach the rooms from the hotel lobby, so this is not a wheelchair friendly venue.
The staff were first class - friendly, helpful and patient - and the omelette made to order at breakfast was one of the best I have tasted. The room was comfortable with views of the city, the fortress is an easy walk away and the place was immaculately clean.

Very neat, modern hotel - but stairs a pain

This is an impeccably modern hotel with a cool, artsy vibe. It is very comfortable and quiet and a very easy walk into the mall area in Nis. The room is well appointed, wifi and AC work well and it is quiet. Breakfast is not included by default and for the price it should be really. Many good bakeries nearby though. It is an easy walk to the bus station if that is how you arrive in Nis. Two negatives though (1) there are multiple flights of stairs (3) as well as a lift from level 0 to 3 where the hotel is - so pack light, (2) no fridge in room, only a communal one at reception.

If I could leave a 6/5 star review for my 5-night stay, I would. Terrific.

The location is terrific, walking distance from everything. The hotel, rooms, lobbies, dining area and hallways are clean, very decorative and cozy. Breakfast is good. Every staff member is incredibly polite, personal, helpful, supportive and flexible. Whenever I asked for something special, they would try to quickly facilitate it to the best of their ability, like overstaying, check-out times, breakfast time and even posting me an ID card I had forgotten with haste. Although I travel a lot, I cannot remember such a pleasant and value-for-money experience, and upon return to Niš, I'll surely stay here again.
