It's not Raffles or even The Hilton so don't expect too much, but it is very cheap and therefore superb value.
Excellent hot power shower.
Comfortable bed.
One of the staff - probably the boss - is extremely helpful.
Another staff member leant me a phone plug so that was great.
......Raffles would have cost me £1,600.
This hotel cost me £40......

Helpful team, but significant deficiencies in cleanliness and maintenance

The staff were very friendly and helpful during my stay. My request for a room change was fulfilled, and I was also immediately assisted with an adapter for the outlets. I would like to expressly thank the team for that.
Unfortunately, this stands in stark contrast to the condition of the rooms. I have seen several rooms, and all of them had significant issues. These included mold, moisture damage, peeling paint, dirty bathrooms, damaged or partially rotting wooden frames on the mirror, and an overall unkempt impression. In one room, the door lock was defective, and in another, the cover of the toilet flush button was missing.
The towels were extremely thin and heavily worn. The hot water was only lukewarm despite the water heater. At times, I had the impression that certain areas had not been thoroughly cleaned for a long time.
I was informed that it is an older hotel. However, an older building is not an excuse for mold, lack of cleaning, or poor maintenance.
The friendly staff is a clear plus point. However, the condition and cleanliness of the rooms do not meet what can be expected even from a simple hotel, in my view.

Very bad hotel

Stay away from the amrise hotel 112 sims ave when you walk in you smell mildew the rooms smell of mildew no lift stairs only it's not a hotel it is a motel for lady's of the evening you will not get a refund you will lose your money no shower no toilet only sink this hotel should be condemned.

I would rate the hotel as quite satisfactory since we only stayed one night to pay a visit to a friend.

I will never go there again. The smell of cigarettes from the Bed is very strong and so noisy. So I pay for 9 days but I didn't stay there and can't cancel or refund.
