Insanity at its finest
It was unacceptable on so many levels. It was our 3rd and last time staying there. Seemed like everything snowballed-From the rooms to the BS given to us it was terrible. If it was our first time to the island we wouldn’t be returning. Asked to speak to management but was told they were off due to being Sunday/Mother’s Day. Between waiting over an hour for the bellman to move us after being told they would be right there, to the roach in the kitchen, to being told our room was ready when it wasn’t and that it was high season which it was not, the brown ice cubes and the door falling off the hinges. Almost comical.

Please accept our most sincere and unreserved apologies for the series of compounding issues you encountered, from the unacceptable delay with the bellman and the maintenance oversights to the distressing cleanliness issues in the kitchen. What you have described falls drastically short of the high standards we hold ourselves to, and it is a matter we are addressing with our housekeeping and maintenance leadership teams immediately to ensure this is never repeated.
Furthermore, we are deeply sorry that leadership was not available to assist you on the spot when you requested to speak to a manager. While it was Mother’s Day Sunday, a supervisor should have been fully empowered to step in, support you, and address your concerns with the urgency they merited. We also regret that you felt your concerns were met with excuses regarding the season rather than immediate solutions, this does not reflect our philosophy of service.
As a returning guest who loves St. Maarten, your loyalty means everything to us. It truly breaks our hearts to know that we have lost your trust. While we completely understand your current frustration, we would deeply appreciate the opportunity to connect with you directly to learn more about your experience

A very decent experience
I had a really great time and it started with Trelawn. He was very thourough in explaining everything that the resort has to offer. Everyone of the resort staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are just a little ragged in the bathrooms, at least in our room. Everything we paid for, minus some of the items at the restaurants was worth the money. I did indulge in the spa services and although good, it didnt blow me away like I was expecting. One of the things is I wish there was more beach space around the resort. Although the atmosphere was great, I didnt like how there was a lot of rocks on the beach. The rooms were clean minus a few cosmetic things here and there. I will say it was nice and cool in the rooms so its was easy to sleep at night. It was a little noisy at times, but I understand we cannot control other people.

Spacious villas and affordable, very clean, beautiful view
The location is excellent minutes away from the airport. You get a view of the entire Simpson Bay. You can walk along the sidewalk and walk right into the ocean and there's access to the beach right at the tip of your toes. It's very peaceful kid friendly. You can order food at the swim pool bar. The villas are spacious modern and clean. I found it quite affordable and the only villa that could literally accommodate seven people comfortably and they do daily cleaning. You're walking distance to the shops and market. The only thing I didn't like is that the island has very narrow roads. The infrastructure is dated an Island atmosphere and there is a lot of casinos and adult entertainment away from the resort, but you can find them at almost every corner in the city.

* A Great Experience from Start to Finish
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Simpson Bay Resort during my trip to St. Maarten, and overall, I had a wonderful experience. The resort offered a beautiful atmosphere, great amenities, and a location that made it easy to enjoy everything the island has to offer.
What truly made my stay even more memorable, however, was the exceptional service from Aniek. She was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely pleasant to interact with. Her positive attitude and the way she treated guests really stood out for me and added a personal touch to my experience.
It’s always refreshing to meet someone who takes pride in making visitors feel comfortable and welcome, and Aniek definitely did that. She is a great representation of the hospitality you hope to experience while on vacation.
