Great hotel in Bratislava

We arrived at the main train station in Bratislava, took Tram #1, and arrived at Hotel Danubia Gate and we were greeted by Javier. Extremely kind person. Javier provided us a great recommendation for a nearby restaurant and a %10 discount coupon. The restaurant was so good we ate all our evening meals there. The rooms are in good condition, breakfast can't be missed, all the staff we encountered we friendly and professional. Old Town is about a 10 minute walk.
Travelers you won't be disappointed here.

First impression of the receptionist was very negative. no smile, poker face. We got a room on the first floor, which was I think for handicapped guests, as the bathroom was equipped with some special accessories for handicapper.
The toilette flush was not working, so I had to use a trash bin and fill it with water and clean after myself. I informed the receptionist and he said they cannot do anything. tomorrow the plumber comes can can take a look into it. I had to contact hotels.com for support. and the day after they gave us another room, with no apology, no compensation. I do not recommend this hotel at all. Location was OK. breakfast was very basic.

Good hotel, but different from the pictures.

We chose this hotel because of its location (right on the edge of the center). Our arrival in Bratislava was by train. The hotel was easy to reach by tram and from the tram stop about 8-10 minutes walk. In the immediate vicinity some supermarkets and about 5 minutes walk to the edge of the old town. Everything else is doable on foot.
Reception in the hotel is very friendly, the rooms are clean and tidy (not the most modern) and for breakfast there is certainly plenty of choice. Friendly staff at breakfast. Some good sweets, and good bread. Cereals, yogurt, fruit, sausages meat toppings, juices and delicious coffee. What is striking is that the hotel on the inside looks different from the pictures. We had some older room and the breakfast room was a lot smaller than picture display. Thanks to the fast working friendly staff everything runs smoothly.
This hotel is definitely recommended if you want a good hotel! Price versus comfort and quality is definitely worth it! Our traveling party was two adults with child.

We were a couple staying in this hotel for two nights, and it was suitable for a short stay. The hotel had only one elevator, and the staff also used the same elevator, which often made waiting times inconvenient.
The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, which seemed to be caused by a dirty drain and hair accumulation under the shower. The breakfast was simple but complete, and I enjoyed it.
Getting to the city center was easy, and the hotel’s location was very convenient. Overall, the stay was fine for two nights, but I would not recommend it for a longer stay.

Great Hotel ideal for everyone in a lovely city

As a disabled traveler, the Danubia Gate Hotel couldn't do enough to make our stay a great one. The staff went above and beyond for whatever we asked for, especially Tom on reception who was so helpful. The situation was ideal, just a short distance from the old town. close enough to see all the sights, and far enough away from the crowds. The lunchtime menu of the day was brilliant value for money, and very reasonable. Great local food as well. The hotel had everything we could have asked for, including an accessible room for me and my wheelchair, and of course my wife. We have already recommended this hotel to many of our friends. Bratislava is a lovely city. Not to be missed Thank you to all the staff at the Danubia Gate Hotel.
