Nice and pleasant little hotel

A nice, clean and friendly little hotel. Good breakfast. Amazingly friendly hosts. Strong recommendation. Free parking, nice dinner, good location, silent, spacy rooms, easy to find. Caring owners, very flexible.

A Pleasant Surprise

We were "winging it" on a trip through the High Tatras, when we came upon this gem. The room was a bit snug, though it had all the necessities, wi-fi, cable TV, a spacious bath, etc. The real gem was the restaurant, however, as well as both the waiter (who could have passed for Brad Pitt) and the proprietor. Their dinner menu was quite extensive and very modestly priced considering how small this penzion is. I enjoyed Venison Medallions, while my wife had a stacked potato pancake "sandwich" with pork, beef, and chicken interspersed. Both dishes were outstanding. Breakfast the next day was a more typical Slovak buffet of cereals, cold cuts and sausages, cheeses, and fried eggs. We drink only de-caf coffee, something of a rarity especially in the outlying areas of Slovakia, but our host whipped out a bottle of instant de-caf that served us well. He was both very helpful as well as informative.

Lovely, lovely, lovely

Very nice and cute Penzion. Rooms are very large, clean and reale confortable and warm with wooden floor.
Situated outside of town in a quiet area nearby a forest.
Personnel very kind and hospitable. Wi-fi free and with excellent speed and coverage. I would suggest it to anyone Who likes quiet and silence. It's only at 10 minutes from the center of town.

Well located

This pension is located in Teplicka n.V., close to Zilina, an hour from Hohe Tatra, 20 min from Castle Strecno and 30min from Mala Fatra National Park. It doesn´t matter if you are visiting for hiking or family relax, the owners provide you with suggestions what to visit or where to go. The rooms are large and clean, pets are allowed for additional fee. Parking is available at the hotel, wifi is fast and for free. In Summer you can enjoy the nice view on the mountains.
The food was very good, service friendly and fast. They offer traditional Slovak dishes and international meals. After a whole day in snow you can warm up infront of the fireplace based in restaurant. Breakfast can not be compared to large hotel complexes, but you will find cheese, ham, cornflakes, yogurts, fruits and vegetables, coffee and tea. Enough for the beginning of the day :)

Ubytování slušné, ale ne pro milovníky soukromí a klidu

Parkování zajištěno zdarma, ale v případě velké akce v restauraci, která k penzionu patří, by mohl nastat problém. Pokoje pěkné a čistě. Matrace dost tvrdé. V objektu je sice restaurace, ale pokud si zde chcete užít večer, počítejte s tím, že končíte ve všední dny ve 20:00 hod. a sobotu či neděli již v 18:00 hod. Pondělky má restaurace zavřeno. Pokud jsem někde ubytován, nerad hledám jídlo a pití jinde, ale samozřejmě někomu to nemusí vůbec vadit. Majitel příjemný a komunikativní. Jsem citlivější na hluk a různé ruchy, takže následující je určitě dost subjektivní: je slyšet nedaleká žilinská doprava, je více slyšet šum vody v rozvodech a odpadní vody, resp. když někdo z ubytovaných či majitelů pouští vodu nebo spláchne WC, víte o tom. Snídaně: na penzion lepší kvality, z čerstvých surovin, jídla i pečiva dostatek. Závěr: nejste-li citlivý na hluk a ruchy jako já, mohu ubytování doporučit.
