one of the best in Slovakia

Hotel is not so new and modern. But in Slovakia this is one of the best. Definitely. Because of staff, atmosphere, food and restaurant. You can admire the beauty of Nitra castle (maybe not from all rooms) and just relax.

Misleading reviews. Extremely dated. Not suitable for business travel

I am genuinely baffled why this hotel seems to have a good review on Trip Advisor. I visited Nitra on business at late notice, and had very little choice. This seemed like the best option according to Trip Advisor. However, I was severely disappointed.
The reception staff barely speak English, the rooms are like a time warp back to the 70s and the entire hotel is in urgent need of renovation. The bathroom in my room was truly awful and extremely dated, with limescale on the taps and shower head. The room itself felt like a student dorm, with threadbare carpets, a cardboard thin mattress and curtains which did not close. The room was far too warm and any attempt to turn the radiator down resulted in a loud clicking which kept me awake. I slept with the table pushed up against the door as I simply didn't feel safe.
I've already recommended that my company removes this as a preferred hotel. It's probably fine for a budget traveller, but absolutely not for business travel.

First impression of the hotel was great sadly it went down hill
The plus was the air conditioning, large bed ,fridge,view from the room
The downs were the curtains not closing letting the 5 o'clock sun in as the blinds were broken,broken toilet flush ,cracked sink a much needed up date to the bathroom

Family lunch at Koruna restaurant

I went there with my family for lunch. The restaurant is nice and cozy, you can choose between the main dining room or smaller saloon with comfortable armchairs. The service is quick and attentive. You can either order a la carte or from the daily menu. The food is very tasty, well seasoned and prepared with care. The portions are big and prices are very reasonable.
The steak was exceptionally tasty, I recommend it.
There are not too many people around lunch time, so you will not wait long for the food. It has the same lunch menu as other Hoffer chain restaurants, so it is a good alternative for quick lunch.
All in all we were satisfied and had a pleasant lunch.

Room with a nice view

Stayed here for two nights being on a business trip. My room was nice and clean. The bathroom would need some revamping though.
The best was the view over the castle and cathedral of Nitra.
Breakfast was included and diverse. And they have the best croissant in the world.
Parking in front of the place. Both the center and the highway are within minutes of drive.
