Nice stay in Kamelia

I have spent a couple of one day business trips in Zilina and often chose Kamelia to stay. Its located in a nice quiet location within walking distance from the city centre. The rooms are clean, breakfast quite good. The service is helpful. Would recommend the double room with a bath.

More suitable for a business trip

Kamelia Pension is more suitable for a one-night business trip stay than for a several-day family stay. If you stay there with your family for a few days you might find the breakfast simple and repetitive, especially it's difficult to find something for a child. And, if you agree on something with a member of the staff, they don't pass the information to their colleagues, and then they give you a bad eye. Also, the pension is quite small and the coming and going guests till late night just wake up your child. However, I could see all those one-night visitors very content at the breakfast in the morning.

You will never forget

Its an old style east hotel, and we loved it. For us it was a remind of old times. Service was perfect and breakfast was great. Rooms where great though they started to move the lawn outsite our window at 6.30 am...we will come back..

To Get Away From Busy City Living, Come Here For A Quiet Local Experience

I was in Zilina for a month to take Slovak language classes at the nearby University. I stayed at this Penzion at the suggestion of the University staff. I had a wonderful time here. The Penzion is really a restaurant that rents rooms. I stayed in one of the "Apartment" rooms, which is a room with an extra small enclave for a couch and television (but there is no cooking space in the room). The rooms are clean. As a long-term visitor, I opted for housekeeping just 3 times per week. They did my laundry, without charge, upon request; which I found incredible. You will never find that anywhere else! My only issue with my room was, no air conditioning. I feel like I got the real Slovak experience. Mostly locals stay at this place and it is destination dining in the local community. If you want to experience good and truly local food, this is it. I ate most of my meals here, especially after trying some of the other local recommended restaurants, the Penzion Kamelia restaurant is much better. I LOVED the staff, they really made my stay pleasant and memorable (and helped me learn a bit of Slovak). So if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city living, come here for a local experience. I highly recommend this place.

Good accommodation

I try to find some good accommodation In Zilina and I found this penzion.
It is close to the centrum of Zilina. At evening I visited the penziońs restaurant and I was positive suprises. The food was delicious. When I will come back to Zilina IT will be my choice again.
