Good for elder people

Again in this hotel with my mother. Good choice for older people, but rather dull for young and families.
Food average, staff kind (with some exceptions), pools perfect, but not suitable for people on wheelchairs. Big trees on the loan are fantastic and we were there all day. Music almost every evening, gym in the morning.
Peaceful and relaxing.
But they have a very big problem with thefts in rooms and I thinh that they don't do enoug about that. I was told that there were quite a lot thefts and they put additional camares in the hotel. But this is not enough. I think that the most obvious problem are doors, because they are hevy and they don't close by themselves as they are supposed to. If you don't check they stay opened and here is the opportunity for thieves. Also I think that they shoul close the starways at the side of the hotel as they lead directly outside and not throug the main lobby and reception, so anyboday can go inside and leave unnoticed.
This year they had a proble with leaking oil which lekas to the marina in front of the hotel. Not to the beact nearby thoug. They havent't done enough to stop it and this is not OK.

Bad experience….

At the hotel beach bar, a bottle of sparkling water taken at the counter was €3.50 and two (terrible!) espresso coffees in small paper cups were €3.20.
On the menu displayed, a bottle of water costs 2.50.
One word to comment: THEFT!

Hotel for retired people

This hotel is wned by retirment organisation and is meant mostly for retited people. And obviously the majority guests are old. This reflects on the food, service and all the rest. The food is avarage, enough place in the restaurant thoug. But elder people are slow and inpatient and they make crowd. It feels if ther are many more peolple in the restaurant as they are.
Personel in the restaurant is not very kind, but there was a very kind waitress at the bar.
At the reception I got a filling that they sometimes don't know what they are doing. Maybe because of students.
Rooms are avarege, but OK. But dorrs are the problem, because they don't close by themselves even they should. So they stay open if you don't check and ther is a lot of possiblilitis of theft. And they have problem with that.
But the hotel is on the top location, the beach is on front of the hotel and there are very many big tress on the loan witha great shadow.
It is about 15-20 min to the centerr of Izola.
Pools outside and inside are OK.
Music on the teracce almost every evening, gym in the morning.
Overall it is a good choice for elder people, not very expensive, retired people have lower price. But it is dull for an active young or middle age people.

Terrible customer service

Double standards regarding masks.
Some people wear masks some do not. That is fine by me.
At breakfast NOBODY said anything to anyone if people did not wear mask. So, we did not have mask when we came for dinner. Lady at the entrance took room number (so that hotel can charge the dinner) and DID NOT say anything about the mask. When we tried to get the food main cheif screemed at the father (who had baby 8 months old in hands), where is the mask and gave him a food. At the same time when I tried to get a food lady said she will not give it if I do not have mask.
I went to the reception and ask to speak with manager and receptionist said there is no one I can speak with and that he can not help me. On Monday manager will be at the hotel (it was Friday). Asked if there is really nobody he can contact and he said he has a numer to call manage but he will NOT do it.
Only thing he offered is to write review in hotel's book.

Is it a hotel or a nursing home?

The pools are salty but are indoor and outdoor. The food is revolting and the bar is overpriced. The bedrooms are clean but very small and I felt very squashed. The people are not very friendly and my family and I thought like an outsider. Good location. There is no atmosphere in there at all. The doors were leaking as well

Very good location
