We will be back

Nice house right in the center of Kocevje. Restaurants are within walking distance. Very clean, good breakfast, kitchen can be used, parking with barrier at the house, very nice, attentive staff, great keepsakes, great tours from there possible or bookable.

Family day bear tracking

We had a very fun and interesting day tour with Tomaž, exploring the local area, tracking bears and wolves.
Just the right amount of walking for the kids and s well as the beautiful views and awe inspiring environment, some highlights were:
- seeing fresh bear and deer tracks
- seeing recent wolf tracks
- checking out the footage from a hidden wildlife camera showing bears, deer, boars, owls, chamonix, badgers and foxes from the previous nights footage
-a beautiful locally sourced lunch at a nice viewpoint (and a beer for the parents!)
-a walk on the the white tailed eagle trail learning about this fantastic bird of prey
Tomaž was an informed and caring guide and a lovely guy to spend a few hours with.

Helpful and friendly staff made my stay great!

I wasn’t sure what to expect at Bearlog Hostel, but Katja at reception made my trip so amazing with her great recommendations for food and activities- I stayed an extra night because I had so much fun. Easy to park, great access to bear watching and hiking, and good breakfast and wifi Thank you!

great hostel

Had a private room with included bathroom. Very clean and quiet. Good breakfast included. wonderful staff. In central downtown, easy walk to restaurants and bars. Lots of information about local area. Has bike rentals. Great area for biking 400+ km of bike trails

Where the bears really like to sleep too!

Bearlog is a really nice and small hostel for 30 peoples. Hostel is located in the city center of Kocevje near main market or church and has a different combinations of rooms with private bathroom or with a bathroom in the corridor. One room in the ground floor is appropriate for disabled guest too and it has his own bathroom. Staff is really nice and helpfull, especially PR woman Tina who was our host. Rooms are large, well equipped with wide bed and two towels are included. Every room have it own lockers for each guest besides the bed and large wardrobe too. Hostel has a self dining breakfast with a lot of food (local) to choose. We have spent such a lovely and nice time staying there. Enjoy like we did.
