Old but preserved

The city is very beautiful and welcoming. The hotel is older, quite large, but is well preserved and the breakfast is the dinner(was included) very good.

Hotel alpina

We chose Hotel Alpina for a short stay focused on cycling and hiking. The hotel has a good location within the valley and the rooms are pleasantly spacious, with comfortable mattresses.
That said, the hotel is clearly from an older era — even the flashing neon sign on the roof has probably seen quite a few decades. Some aspects would definitely benefit from an update. The hot water seemed to be available somewhat on a limited basis, and unfortunately the towels had a rather unpleasant musty smell.
The biggest issue for us was the very poor sound insulation between the rooms. If you happen to have more lively neighbours, you will definitely know about it.
Breakfast was rather average, and the overall equipment and wellness area also feel somewhat dated, more like something from the 1990s. We were also surprised to find out that the wellness area is adults-only, as this was not something we had noticed when booking.
The hotel is priced more like a hotel in Austria, but unfortunately the overall standard does not really match Austrian expectations.
Overall, Hotel Alpina has a good location and some positive aspects, but for us the price-to-quality ratio was not quite right. We enjoyed our stay, but next time we would probably choose another hotel.

Clean room , good breakfast, free parking comes very handy with a lot of spaces available (outdoor parking)

Pros: Very good breakfast. Good massage spa on site. Looks to be a good ski in-ski out location in winter, ski storage area. Parking available
Cons: no ac-not fun in August with highs of 90F/32C. Gym may be the worst hotel gym I've ever been in-most equipment broken.
