Small hotel with stylish Mood.

Very nice old villa with Mood and charm. Beautifully landscaped garden, parking right next to the hotel.
Located right on the promenade a few steps from the sea.
Very good varied breakfast and very good restaurant in the hotel.
The decor is certainly a bit old, but also has its charm and fits the upscale Mood. Rooms are air conditioned.
Very friendly and attentive staff, some of whom also speak German. Everything important nearby (shopping, ice cream, restaurant, supermarket).
Beach area (Meduza Beach) directly opposite the hotel.

The best part is the location and having our own parking.

Hotel with a very good location, facing the promenade of Portoroz. We had a room for four that was just behind the hotel, but it was acceptable. The bathroom was small, fortunately, since it was very hot and the air conditioning did not work very well. The service was adequate, the breakfast was normal, and an advantage is that it has its own parking.

Understated but very nice place to stay

I was a bit disappointed when we approached this hotel as getting in is difficult and you can miss the entrance.
Second disappointment was I booked a “sea view” room. The room was on the first floor. Technically you could see some water so I guess it was sea view.
However the location was awesome right on the beach. The room was a bit dated but very nice. Bed and pillows were comfortable and very hot water!! The shower was small but workable. The aircon was sufficient. Not going to be cool but it was good enough to be comfortable. Admittedly we were there during unseasonably hot season.
We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was GREAT and not over priced. A lot of hotels charge a lot more than other restaurants but the food was great and service fantastic.
Breakfast was included in the room charge. It was very nice. You can eat inside or outside and the selection of things to eat was very good. Juice and coffee plentiful.
Overall highly rated!!
And the place is gorgeous at night.

Highly recommended.

Hotel Marco in Portorož is a house with a lot of charm from earlier times, which gives it a very special atmosphere. Those who appreciate hotels with history and character will feel very comfortable here.
The rooms are very clean and well maintained, the Mood is cozy and has this classic style that you won't find so often today. Of particular note is the extremely friendly staff who are always helpful and made our stay very pleasant.
Breakfast is also rich and varied – a perfect start to the day. Overall, a hotel that combines tradition and hospitality and that we are happy to recommend.

Positive surprise

The hotel is located in a pleasant park that awaits you even before entering the lobby. The building itself looks romantic from the outside, which is also reflected inside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent. We had a room with a sea view, where you can't see much of the sea, but the view is still beautiful. The room was a decent size and spotlessly clean. I can definitely recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a quiet break in Portorož for a good price.
