Three pleasant days at Vetho House

An excellent venue in Ballito. On the beach, lovely views and close to restaurants. Staff are pleasant and accommodation clean and comfortable. This was our second time there and will definitely return.

Breakfast times

Good but the proble we did not gett vslue for our money as we missed breakfast because of ots starting time. 7h30 hence we had to be st work by 7h30. At leasr your breakfast should start at 6h30

horrible

smelly dirty run down place. Checked out after half an hour. I could not stand the smell of the fridge, the bathroom. smells of urine and smoke. sweaty throw pillows. mold on ceiling. shower grout was beyond filty. damp issues on all the walls even the boundry walls

Guesthouse with a few too many flaws

Firstly, the location could not be any better in Ballito, the views are fantastic. Secondly, our room was nice and spacious. That's where the good news end.
Upon check-in they did not offer any help with our luggage despite the steep stairs to all rooms. Some of our towels had stains, the rugs in the room certainly have not been washed for quite a while, the cushions on the balcony chairs were wet, and to make it worse, there was mould in the fridge.
Wifi (internet connection) is virtually not exsistant, and the basic breakfast is only served until 9:30 am (are you not a holiday destination???).
Lastly, the entire building is in desparate need of rennovations.

Spacious accommodation with good facilities in a central location

Situated in the centre of Umhlanga, the property is close to shops, restaurants and the beach.
The accommodation was spacious with great facilities.
Secure parking was in the basement with easy access to the lifts.
I collected the key from the UPI security office which is close by. There was initially some confusion about letting me have the key as they wanted to phone somebody and my documentation didn't seem to suffice and I didn't have a phone number.
There were no instructions beforehand about having to use the security tag for the entrance door, lift etc. which would have been useful.
Despite being on the 7th floor, there was quite a lot of noise in the area, particularly on Saturday night when it went on until the early hours of the morning.
