Feels like home away from home

Philip and Anouk are just so awesome, friendly and helpful. Location is great with lots to do and people are really friendly. Definitely the place to be when in Cape Town. Close to the V&A Waterfront and the City.

Poorly run

I’m going to try and ignore the fact that an American got stabbed to death in the kitchen on my second day because that could happen anywhere.
Beyond that, I found the staff to be very inattentive—the reception desk was vacant the majority of the time I needed to stop by which made it very inconvenient when I needed to change my stay duration. When staff was present they were usually confused/couldn’t operate their online system and I had problems with both check in and with obtaining a lost item.
Also, the bar was closed and the cleaning staff left my door open after cleaning it with my computer just sitting out (this was a private room) - I’m glad nothing was stolen.
When I checked in the water wasn’t working in the dorm bedrooms, it was in the private rooms thankfully.

Definitely coming back!

Very relaxed and welcoming staff, like Philip who was the best! Met lots of warm, friendly people as well. The place is also in an amazing location close to lots of restaurants and activities! Definitely coming back here!

Comfy and hospitable

Right in an area not far from the City centre. İt has BBQ facilities so you can make a South African Braai and also has a small pool :) :)
The waterfront is just 10 min walk and the neighbourhood has lots of restaurants, markets, laundry, etc
Bo Kaap is 20 min walk

A review for foreign tourists.

The staff is helpful and hostel has almost all facilities and good guests.
Would recommend it specially for foreign tourists.
As many other hostels have local workers as guests and they behave badly sometimes.
