Great getaway and guided trails

Spent a few wonderful days in this delightful guest house.
A highlight was the guided walking trails with trail guide Gideon Ellis.
Good knowledge of the trails and treated all the walkers with consideration and care.
A really good walking experience in beautiful surroundings.

Great stay at Cottage Pie.

Beautiful, quaint and homely cottage, so many interesting items in the cottage. Gorgeous anthracite fire place to warm up the living area. Great setting, close to the walking trails. Home away from home. Would definitely recommend it to any one going to Clarens.

Cycling camp

Magic 3 nights with Cottage Pie our base for 10 of us on a cycling camp. Over the coldest weekend ever. Perfect accommodation, warm, clean and all necessary amenities. Fire was kept going the whole weekend which really helped. Attention to detail was exceptional. Will be back next year for sure

A beautiful hidden-gem in Clarens!

My husband and I had the most incredible time staying at Cottage Pie. The rooms are wonderfully clean and tidy. There is absolutely no question that you will be comfortable; the beds are of a high standard with soft and good quality pillows. We were made to feel like royalty, as there was a welcome drink as we arrived. The area is so close to the hiking trails, as well as the square in Clarens. Karen was so incredibly accommodating; our dogs were also looked after as they were safely enclosed in a beautiful garden. The most wonderful sights and sounds only added to the comfort and sense of safety that we felt when staying at Cottage Pie. We will definitely be returning and supporting this excellent self-catering establishment. Thank you for adding to our wonderful memories of Clarens.
