Nice hotel in the center

Stayed one night during our group tour. Nice, bit colonial, hotel right in the center of Graaff Reinet (walking distance to the beautiful church). Cute little place. Had a very large room (14) in a separate area of the hotel. Plenty of space for your belongings and great beds. Friendly staff, friendly staff. Nice swimming pool. Nothing wrong with that.

Lovely peaceful stay

Our extended family (12 of us) stayed here in July 2109 as we were is Graaf-Reinet for a very special reason; to scatter the ashes of a beloved family member in the Valley of Desolation. We had traveled from as far as New Zealand, Canada and Costa Rica to do so. We were lucky enough to be the only people staying that night and we were warmly welcomed by our host Lundy who took the time to sit and chat to us, making us feel right at home. As I as going to sleep I was so pleasantly surprised that there was no noise - no traffic or people - only the sound of a little cricket outside my window. It was hard to believe we were in a town. This place has a special feeling to it and Karoo Guesthouse was a perfect place for us to stay. Thank you Lundy! :)
